## Description

The Morakniv Craftline Pro S Knife features a 3.6-inch fixed blade made of specially selected, hardened stainless steel that allows it to stay sharp longer and withstand higher loads. The composition of the Sandvik stainless steel blade on the Craftline Pro S is ideal for working in marine, fishing, outdoor and construction applications where knives see hard use and are commonly exposed to dirt and moisture. The ergonomic handle is made of TPE rubber with a coil-formed rounding process that delivers extra grip and control. A finger guard offers additional safety. Included with the knife is a hard plastic Combi-Sheath, which provides a quick-connect feature for attaching a second knife and sheath. Morakniv has been manufacturing the highest quality knives in Mora, Sweden since 1891. Limited lifetime manufacturer’s warranty.

Review: Low price… high value… - Scandi grind knives excel on thin blade stock, the thin stock and taller blade really aid in this blades performance. Very slicey. Sheath retention is medium well but a ranger band or large rubber band can be used as an added layer of retention. Not at all an indestructible knife but far more sturdy than it feels. I have the carbon and stainless model and I use the stainless more around the house for a low maintenance user. A great domestic knife, with outdoor capability. You’re not going to worry too much if anything happened to this knife because of how inexpensive and available these are, plus they can handle some abuse as long as it isn’t extreme (any knife can break). Great steel with a great heat treatment, thin stock make this super easy to sharpen. Mora have been making knives for a long time and know what they are doing, at under $20 this is a must have.
Review: Best All Around Fixed Blade EDC - I am a recent Morakniv convert. I still love my Essee and Spyderco knives but living in the PNW I decided I needed to add some Stainless Steel to my collection and Im pretty much EDC'ing this Pro S and or my Eldris every day now. This is the second one I bought because I got a little crazy with modifying my older one and needed a new one. So here goes the review - First of all, this is not full tang. Secondly, I do not consider myself a "Bushcrafter" but I do practice a lot of woodsmanship. I got turned onto Morakniv a while back after watching a friend process a large Elk with this very knife. It just made sense for that task, stainless steel so its easy to clean and no contaminate oils and a plastic sheath that is easy to clean and resistant to mold and stains. I every day carry this knife for a variety of reasons, I will list those reasons in the pros and cons below. Pros: Low price (I do not use the word cheap because they are not cheap they are low price) The cost to benefit ratio is astounding Good solid steel Wicked sharp out of the box Easy to touch up with stropping block Nice blade belly and tip Grip/ handle is really tacky and feels good in the hand Finger guard is great Very un-assuming- NOT TACTICOOL super knife looking- I can carry this every day without issue in most situations because it just looks very un-assuming and not "SCARY". It is a tool and it looks like a tool. The blue handle and plastic sheath just makes it look "friendly" and its Swedish... so it has to be friendly right? Sheath - This is going to go in both pros and cons - - I like the sheath because it is really easy to clean and take care of. It also has a lot of attachment options. I run a piece of paracord through the top and tie it to my belt and clip the clip to my pocket so I have a combo dangler / belt clip. I m not a fan of carrying it on my belt directly with the clip because the clip bends easy. Durable as any knife Ive owned. I carried my first version of this for a year and I put that thing through hell and it only had to be re-profiled once because I got too crazy with the edge on a piece of bone. Easy to maintain. Stainless Steel - Great for rainy weather, does not rust and easy to clean / dry and is food safe. I live in the PNW and I was sick of oiling and de-rusting my knives. Cons: I generally like the sheaths for their ease of use and carrying options but I would just love it if there was a little less flexibility in the belt portion. I feel like I immediately over stress and get stress bends right when I use them directly on my belt. I fix that by doing what I mentioned previously but it is still annoying. The bottom of the grip on this knife is not conducive to "bushcrafting" tasks for a long time and you get some hot spots on your hand if you use it for an hour or so. The spine is rounded so I had to file it down with a bastard file to get a good spark throwing 90 degree spine. All in all one of my favorite knives to use and own. It gets daily carry use just about every day that is casual clothes. Use: Daily carry, woods carry, hunting, fishing, hiking, food prep

## Questions & Answers

**Q: How good is this for skinning goat/deer. And How long the blade lost before sharpenning?**
A: It's got more belly than many knives used by deer hunters. I've read of almost a dozen hunters online who use moras. I've known combat airborne guys in afghanistan who have used moras.
I've not tried to skin a deer with it, but I've used Moras, both carbon and stainless, for over 20 years, and their edge is the best combo of sharpness, sharpening ease AND edge retention I've ever used, and I've used a LOT of different knives in over 45 years. I've never used knives with sharper blades than moras have, and that are easier to get that sharp. That includes the "wonder steels" sold today for 30x the price. Yes, 30x the price.
If I were to use this mora for hunting, and if I had any concerns, I'd just carry two of them. That's 24 bucks, and you have a backup. You won't need two, but if you forget your sharpening rod, you'll have a second crazy sharp, extremely durable, knife handy. And two of these knives together, weigh less than the majority of single knives carried in the field.

**Q: Is this 12c27 steel?**
A: Yes 12c27 Sanvick Stainless Steel

**Q: would this make a good dive knife?**
A: Since I am not a diver I can only speculate that this would make a good one. It is an excellent knife for sure and I would think that it would hold up to whatever you could throw at it.

**Q: Do i need to oil it**
A: No. Some people like to keep their blades lightly oiled just as a matter of personal preference, but it is not required with stainless steel blades. :-)

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ This has to be the best fixed blade knife for the money
*by R***Y on June 2, 2018*

This has to be the best fixed blade knife for the money. Blade came razor sharp. Some people complain about these sheaths, but more do they want? It fits well with a satisfying click, holds the knife firmly, comes out smoothly and can be clipped on anywhere including a belt without taking it off. I wanted the red and black handle like the Pro C to match my Eldridge, but for me it has to be Sandvik stainless steel. I have to say the nice blue color has grown on me quite a bit and looks good with the red anyway. I also own a craft line morakniv for my handyman tool bucket and I really like how much more width the blade has on the Pro S. This is a hearty knife that I would certainly trust for work or outdoors. I also own a Kansbol and it is the better knife. However I honestly wish the kansbol has a sheath more like the Pro S. The kansbol is super secure in it’s sheath just like the Eldris, but I kind of like the quick draw of the Pro S and being able to clip it on to anything is great too. The Kansbol also excelled at food preparation, and has a ground spine for Firesteel, but of course it’s quite a bit more expensive. This is the perfect knife for your tool kit, camping gear, emergency kit or the like and $11 with free shipping? This is the most mora for the money. Though I sure wish they made a classics in Sandvik.
