Best Rice Cooker I’ve Owned
I was born in Asia, but essentially grew up in the states. I was raised with rice cookers. This is the best rice cooker I’ve owned, and I’m in my 40s..so I’ve been through a few.I love that it’s so compact. I love that it’s easy to clean and made with non-toxic coating. I love that it’s the ONLY rice cooker I’ve owned, where the rice cup to water ratio was spot on. In the past, I’ve always had to adjust one or the other, to cook perfect rice. Not with this. Perfect rice the first time I tried it.5 stars and a bonus star for the super cute kitty design.

Stopped working after one use
Love the portability and ease of use. HATE that it only worked once....then stopped working. Light didn't turn on, no heat. Called Amazon but it was 16 days outside the return date. Amazon wouldn't help me. $20 for one bowl of rice....no bueno. Like Amazon couldn't afford to refund me $20???? Hell, they pay no income taxes....smdh

Universal power? Cooks rice well.
So the seller responded very promptly, and told me the rice cooker is universal. I tried it out (under close supervision), and it worked great! The instructions aren’t real clear; as soon as I plugged it in, the red “cooking” light came on. But I’m pretty sure it didn’t start heating until I pushed the switch down. I forgot to time it, but about 20 minutes later the red light went out and it switched to the green “keep warm” light. The rice was a nice consistency and tasty. The pot cleaned easily.Original review:The cooker I received came with the US plug, but both the manual and device say “250V”. I don’t think it would be wise to plug it in. I’ve messaged the seller, but I’m planning to return it.

Cute little rice cooker that works great for 1-4 people.
Feb 2020 update: Still works really good! Been using it two to three times a week to make rice. Only thing is don’t put the inside lid in the dishwasher, it turns to a blackish color but I don’t think it’s harmful, still works.(First purchased in Oct 2019 and review below:)I needed a small rice cooker so I could make rice easily for 1-4 servings. This works perfectly! This one will cook minimum 1/2 cup uncooked rice into 1 cup of cooked rice; perfect for one serving. Or you can make a maximum 2 1/2 cups uncooked rice into 5 cups of cooked rice; four to five servings. If you use a “standard” size cooker like for 4-6 servings but to just cook 1 serving, the whole cooker is too big and the pot’s bottom is too wide and you will get burnt chewy dry rice or unevenly cooked rice. The plastic parts of cooker does not look sturdy but it’s what you can expect from a made in China product at this price. The pot and steamer dish are both well made though. Forget the flimsy plastic spatula it comes with, it’s garbage. The measuring cup is only for measuring uncooked rice. Here I will explain — it says 1 cup on it but it actually holds 1/2 cup content, so don’t use it for other measuring use. It’s telling you if you want one cup of cooked rice, then fill to top of cup with uncooked rice, pour into pot, then fill water to 1 line, and after you cook it you’ll yield 1 cup of cooked rice. If you want to make 4 cups of cooked rice, fill cup four times with uncooked rice and put into pot, fill pot with water to 4 line, and you’ll yield 4 cups of cooked rice. Understand?I used the steamer dish to make steamed eggs with leftover food inside. Oil or butter the inside of the steamer dish, beat two eggs, add salt pepper, pour into steamer dish, add leftover meats vegetables into egg mixture, insert steamer dish into cooker, close lid and cook. Or you can put ingredients directly inside the rice to be cooked together. It took 20 minutes to cook, and it goes to keep warm. While cooking, the lid and top half of cooker feels hot but not hot enough to burn your hands or melt the cooker, bottom of cooker is not hot at all, vents well, and it did not leak water or collect any evaporation. I left cooker unopened for 10 extra minutes so the rice could fully cook and won’t stick to pot. So after about 25 mins total, I had a delicious lunch of 1 cup cooked rice, and a plate of meat veg steamed eggs. See my picture. My 11 y.o. son can easily learn to use this and prepare his lunch to bring to school. He loves steamed rice, and can steam salmon or wieners in the steamer dish, then he adds furikake to his cooked rice.Easy to wash and lid parts look flimsy but easy to take apart to wash, let’s see how long this lasts over time. I will try to make other recipes with this and see how it does e.g. congee, soup, instant-pot dishes, etc.So far so good! I recommend it, for the price and function.

Cute but doesn’t last long
Cute rice cooker. Simple to use. I bought two (one for me and one for a gift) just about 6 months after using both stopped working about the same time! Save your money and buy something that will last.

Very convenient
This rice cooker plus dish warmer are perfect for my house now. It come with rice scoop measure cup a plate for dishes on top. I stop eating rice because my doctor told me rice would make my blood sugar get higher, and my husband eat his meal at work. Only my son eat some of rice. We have a big rice cooker that can cook for at least 10 people, but with that cooker Is hard to cook for only one person. This rice cooker is good to make 2 person rice with little plate on top you can dish to cook or warm up. I normally either steam egg or put cooked dish on top. Very convenient and save time.

Cooked rice perfectly before dying suddenly.
This little thing is SO cute. The inner non-stick pot and accessories are very well made. Cooked rice perfectly (as long as you let it soak before and steam after). That’s why my heart broke when it suddenly stopped turning on all together. One day it was working and the next day it wasn’t. The heating element smelled faintly of burning plastic, so I wonder if something didn’t overheat inside. I got about 3 uses out of it over 2 months before it died. Now it’s too late to return. Maybe I got a faulty unit, but considering the cheap price, it probably just sucks.

cute! & GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE
I am so upset that this worked for only a few tries before breaking... i cooked rice in it maybe only 6 times and it BROKE.the rice overall worked out. but the longevity of the product sucks. I am absolutely sad that It broke so fast.UPDATE: sooooo soooo HAPPY that the seller reached out to me and offered to send me a replacement!!! great customer service! and even though it’s not the same model i’m very happy they are willing to reach out to me and offer me that replacement! i’ve been cooking rice the old fashioned way while i think about what to do with the cooker and it’s been rough.
