Review: Dependent on the sun - We like these lights for our covered patio. We put the solar panel on the roof, and then brought the cord down under the roof into the covered patio and strung the lights up with some hooks and nails. There is a good run of cord before the first light to allow this. Each light has a little loop. That works great on a hook screwed into the rafters. The nails also held, but that was dependent on the angle. It does have to be pretty dark for them to turn on, and there is no way to force them on. Under the patio is more shaded than on top, so they come on a little later than I wish they did. The light is a nice warm light. In our PNW cloudy days, they still come on at full brightness after sunset, and seem to stay lit up for at least 3 hours.

**Q: Are the lights rated IP65 water-resistant?**
A: I do not know if the lights are IP65 rated as water resistant but I have had them hanging outside since March and have no problem with them so far

A: Unfortunately you can’t connect two strands. But these lights are very bright & beautiful.

**Q: What type of rechargeable batteries are inside?**
A: Hi there! These panels have a rechargeable Li ion 3.7V 2000maH battery

**Q: is the panel gonna work with other 120v light?**
A: You can put other bulbs in. The existing ones are 1 watt LEDs, but I would imagine the higher the wattage, the shorter they will stay lit.

We like these lights for our covered patio. We put the solar panel on the roof, and then brought the cord down under the roof into the covered patio and strung the lights up with some hooks and nails. There is a good run of cord before the first light to allow this. Each light has a little loop. That works great on a hook screwed into the rafters. The nails also held, but that was dependent on the angle. It does have to be pretty dark for them to turn on, and there is no way to force them on. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Very Impressed

I purchased these lights for my front porch area (in a shorter length) and to hang as lighting across my backyard because power outlets aren't easily accessible on my house. After having great success with my front porch, despite the sun only charging the panel (realistically) for about 6 hours (due to location, my house faces north and slightly east, so the sun only really hits it from 6 am - noon), and getting about 7 hours of light from the bulbs subsequently, I decided on getting them for the back porch. I have been impressed by the ease of assembly and the lasting charge of the solar panel. Even with not getting the best sun in general in either the front or back of my house (trees in the back), and the rain (it has been raining every day for several days) my lights will go on at sunset for at least 5 (more like 6-8) hours. I have already dropped them on the ground, no breaking(!) which is a benefit of the plastic over glass bulbs on Edison lights which easily shatter (I am not clumsy per say, but I don't have amazing luck in this arena). However I want to make sure I say they do not look plastic when strung, they look just like my neighbor's glass lights. They are pretty sturdy! I haven't tested them in gale force winds yet, but the outer bands of a tropical depression came through the region and they have not broken and they have lit every single night. I cannot speak to dealing with customer service or having issues with the lights, as mine have worked perfectly. My partner was skeptical of spending so much on lights, but they now are remarking each night "what a great purchase!" when we look out of the window or are enjoying the night on the porch. I look at this as an opportunity not to have to buy things over and over again (which I feel is wasteful) The ONLY criticism I have so far is that these do not turn on unless it is completely dark outside. The work around is covering up the solar panel with someone solid, and the lights will go on, if you'd like to have them lit at twilight time. I have done that in the above picture so you can get an idea of how they light. Might set up a second strand, but the were definitely brighter with a whole day of charge, so don't be discouraged if you set them up and the panel wasn't out all day to charge. Just a tip.
