An Effective Product
This item works perfectly for me. I have been using it for around 2 years now as I commonly get ingrown toe nails. It is most effective when you are able to constantly apply a fresh one every morning and evening for at least 4 days but I'd recommend doing it for 6 (which should use up the full package). It will make you nail extremely soft and help a LOT with pain reduction.Pros:* Effective* Relieves pain of ingrown toe nail* Makes remove of toe nail very manageable when used correctlyCons:* It is stinky! It will smell like rotten eggs when first applied but that will quickly subside* Must be consistent. The potency of the gel is only good for around 12 hours. If you do not re-apply it may lead to a longer timeframe of use.Overall I would highly recommend this product!

Works Great
Ive been having major issues with my toe nails as of late, and both my big toes are ingrown on both sides...i have a really bad phobia when it comes to doctors so ive been taking care of it myself and using this product on my toes to soften the nail so i can pry it out without it hurting really bad. Give it like 1 or 2 days with it on your toe, and the nail will stop bothering you, but keep in mind it can only be used for about a week straight before you could have some issues with skin irritation. All and All, excellent product

It works! Beware the smell
I got this for an ingrown toenail I had that had begun to break through the skin on the top of my toe. It was to the point that I was considering Partial nail avulsion. I had been trying to remove the ingrown nail myself at home and had ended up just breaking off part of my nail. The piece buried in my skin and beginning to grow through it was still there, and despite my best efforts, every time I tried to dig it out and remove it, I only succeeded in irritating my skin and causing more pain. Anyway, when I got this, I put the gel on and left it. I didn't see any difference and was frankly very disappointed. It wasn't doing too much for the pain and I wasn't making it any easier to get the nail out. I decided to put some more gel on, cover it, then go to sleep. This morning, I did notice that the pain was nearly gone and I was able to work without being bothered by the pain. (I work in a vet clinic and am always running around)I just got home from work about an hour ago and decided to see if there was any change. There was! With just a bit of pressure and the help of some tweezers, the nail piece came right out! It was an instant relief and I'm so glad I gave it a chance. I will let you know that the smell of the gel is horrid. Almost like rotten eggs, but I think it's worth it for the results. I would also recommend getting a small ingrown nail removal kit. I got the Bcabo one, and it worked wonders alongside this product! I doubt this product alone would be enough to remove an ingrown nail

Worked Fast and Relieved Pain
My husband had a bad ingrown toenail that was starting to get infected, and this kit worked great. The gel softened the nail, making it much easier to lift and trim with the tools. Within just a couple of days, his toe healed and the pain was gone. Highly recommend!

Not for me
Unfortunately this didn’t work for me. I had an ingrown toenail and trying to cut it made it worse- created a sharp point going into my skin which was quite painful I couldn’t even walk properly. I ended up going to the doctor and having it numbed and removed. I recommend going to a podiatrist or PCP if you have a bad ingrown nail. They can also stop the mail from growing back on the side if you have a recurring issue like me. This didn’t solve my issue and the gel smells really bad.

The ointment stinks but the tools are awesome
The tools that come are great and the bandages are great but t he ointment that comes smells aweful. We used it once and it made me and my kiddo gag. Im not sure what its supposed to do but we tossed it. The rest is good.

Fast relief for mild ingrown toenail pain — works best early on
I picked up the Dr. Scholl’s Ingrown Toenail Pain Reliever hoping to avoid a trip to the podiatrist, and for mild to moderate cases, it actually works quite well. It’s a 2-part system: a medicated liquid (with benzocaine for pain relief) and soft foam ring cushions that protect the area from pressure while it heals. The liquid definitely helps dull the pain within a few minutes. It doesn’t treat the root cause (you’ll still need to soak your foot, lift the nail, etc.), but it made walking and putting on shoes much more bearable. The cushions are soft and stay in place, especially if you wear socks. They're also thin enough to fit inside most shoes comfortably. That said, if your ingrown nail is severe or infected, this won’t be a cure — but it’s a great first line of defense for early-stage discomfort.Pros:Provides quick pain reliefEasy to use, even on sensitive toesCushions prevent rubbing and pressureAffordable and widely availableCons:Doesn’t fix the underlying issueAdhesive cushions may not stick well if your toe is dampTemporary relief — not a permanent solutionOverall, this is a smart product to keep in your medicine cabinet if you’re prone to ingrown nails. It won’t replace medical treatment for serious cases, but it buys you some much-needed comfort in the meantime.👍 Found this helpful? Tap “Helpful” — I always appreciate it!
