I love this thing
This is an excellent ID holder for my purposes. It's lightweight, seems durable and very well-designed, and holds my government PIV card securely - the card snaps gently into place when inserted - while keeping it as easy as possible to remove the card from the holder for computer access. My only disappointment was not the fault of this holder, but of my bureau's choice of lanyards: they supply lanyards with thick plastic hooks that don't allow this holder to hang down the way it's intended to, causing it instead to stick off the hook at either an upward or a downward angle. No worries though - I simply replaced the bureau-issued lanyard with the handsome and functional Heavy Duty Retractable Badge Holders with Carabiner Reel Clip and Vertical Style Clear ID Card Holders, 24 inches Thick Kevlar Pull Cord that I found here on Amazon, and now my badge hangs elegantly from my belt. The silly design of those bureau lanyards caused me to wind up with a much nicer solution for myself; the only thing I'm still sorry about is that I bought a ten-pack of these great badge holders, thinking I'd give them to some of my favorite people at work...but all those people would then need to replace their bureau-issued lanyards with something else at their own expense in order to use these, or indeed any badge holder with a standard-sized rigid opening to pass a fastener through. So I wound up with nine more of these holders than I need. But I guess I can give them out anyway, just with caveats. These holders will work (though they might hang at a slight angle) with the standard metal clips found on most badge lanyards, and are ideally paired with a lanyard or other mechanism with one of those standard clear plastic snap straps found on many badge-holding mechanisms. That's what my new retractable things have and the holder hangs perfectly level (those snap straps are what the designers of this holder had in mind when they designed it).Enjoy! I definitely am.

Works great.
They work well. I use them with a retractable lanyard on my camera neck strap. One side I put name, phone#, email. The other side is a perfect fit for a medium WhiBal grey card.So first pic of any new memory card on the camera is the name card. And each "location" where the light changes, I snap a pic of the grey card.

Works with easy access
While I have only vertical cards, that is has the ability to hold the cards in either orientation which seems like a good feature. It provides easy access and seems to hold the cards well enough. Easy to take them out and put them back in.If you are one that works in a dirty environment you may need to think twice about this as it offers no "environmental" protection for the cards, but not less than just having the card on the lanyard. It does support the card some, so it is better than just having the card around you neck and allows you to have two cards visible just by flipping it around.

For those who break the access card
I'm one of those people who likes to sit on the access card or get it trapped in a chair in a weird way etc.I have broken 2 of those in the last 5 years - but the card stayed intact. (I broke off the holes for the carabiner)While I have already broken 2, I bought 2 more. With my way of treating my access card, I'm surprised those holders later longer than 6 months (other didnt). It's not too heavy and holds the card in securely

Good for Proximity Badge Cards
These have held up really well and have not broken. On some other brands, the plastic breaks and the badge can fall out, but these seem to be holding up really well. If you're a supply guy and need to buy a bunch for new employees, I would definitely recommend these - your employees will be happy with the quality.

Practical
I have two ID cards I have to take out all the time for work. It is extremely efficient to do so without fear of losing them. The cards are very easy to remove and replace when entering a place or placing them in my computer.
