Hogue 29301 S&W N Frame Square Butt Grips, Checkered PAU Ferro

S&W Model 28 feels a lot better with them on. They don't fit completely flush, but close enough. I guess I could mess with them a little and sand down some of the inside if I felt like it.Not bad. I'll stick with these. I've gone through the Packmyr N-Frame grips, Hogue Rubber grips, some handmade replicas from Thailand, and some old used S&W originals. None of those fit good. They were all either too wide or too long. These were perfect for feel for my own hands, and they look very nice.

I installed on new model 29 and what should have been 2 mins turned into 2 hrs trying to figure if I was doing something wrong. Realized screw was too short and went to hardware store and .37c problem solved. Nice grips but for the price something so simple should not have been so annoying. I would have and prob should have just returned but im to stubborn.

Bought this for S&W Model 29 .44Mag. They were very difficult to install and broke during my attempt.Here is my update. The Grips I received were not the correct grips for my gun. I ordered grips for an "N" frame S&W but received grips for a "K and L frame". Hopefully the replacements will work just fine.OK,got the new grips and they fit perfectly. Definitely the wrong ones first time around. Very nice grips. I would recommend them.

Excellent quality finish, as one would expect from Hogue. The fit on my S&W model 29 is precise. Installation was easy. The checkering on the sides, along with the finger grooves, helps keep the grip steady in your hands. The added width and palmswell, compared to the stock wood grips, really helps tame the pounding that 44 magnum puts on your hands.

I bought this grip for my Smith and Wesson 25-5 45 colt. It's not the first time I've bought a fine Hogue custom grip. However it is the first time I've purchased through Amazon and as always from selection to shipping it is a five star experience. You can't go wrong with Hogue or Amazon.

Love the checkering because it sticks like glue. Really dressed up my S&W Model 27 and makes it easy to hold even with full house loads.

Factory grip for my S&W Model 29 was nice but this grip is definitely an upgrade.
