My granddaughter needed a Pilgrim costume for Thanksgiving at school this year, and I was a bit hesitant to buy this one, thinking it would probably look cheap. It was absolutely perfect! She looked adorable in it, and the fit was great. She is nine years old and slim, and she wore the medium size. She had plenty of room, but it could be tied tight also. Your costume seems very high-quality, with nice material, a wonderful bonnet, and all pieces were well constructed. I highly recommend this costume.

I bought one of these costumes for my oldest daughter a few years ago. Then my youngest daughter requested one just like it a couple months ago, so I bought one for her as well. They both love this costume and wear it frequently.

When comparing making this costume myself or buying it, it became economical just to buy it. My 6 year old wore this for a Thanksgiving event at school. She is 45 pounds and about 48 inches. The medium fit well around the bodice. The skirt was long on her, but easily hemmed up. The fabric is thin (not sheer), so during the winter it needed an under shirt and pants.My daughter found the costume comfortable to wear and would still be wearing it. I ordered a cheap petticoat to go under our full skirt costumes and it makes a huge difference in how the costume wears. She received several compliments from her teachers, other classmates, and a few parents.A few notes: The apron ties in the back are free so they can be tied, but it permanently sewn to the costume front. A bonnet is included that has a small elastic circle in the back for long hair to be pulled through.

Bought for 1st grade thanksgiving feast party. Dress is long for my daughter, as others have stated. However, it's not a big deal for me to hem. Fabric and construction is more than sufficient for the few times we'll actually use this. You're more likely to out grow this than it fall apart on you. Apron is attached to dress.

I ordered this for my daughter so she could use it as a "Clara Barton" costume. We left off the hat and added a broach and she was set to go! It was just darling on her! Also, it is true to size which I was happy about. She got so many compliments that day!
