Nice Product; Packaged Well; Clear Instructions
I love that they offer this product. Perfect fit for my 2010 Mustang GT. It took me about 20 minutes to install including time to adjust the sound tube. One word of caution if you have to adjust the sound tube mounting. The fender clip securing it must be repositioned to beneath the unit. It’s a bit awkward so be careful not to drop it. I did and fortunately it landed in a place I could reach it. My advice would be to place something to catch the clip directly underneath it so as to lesson the risk of losing it should you drop it.Outside of that, it was a simple and straightforward install. It works great (I left the prop rod in place should I ever want to remove the struts and keep it all original.Time will tell if it holds up, but today I am very pleased.I would like to know more specifically the differences between this and the Elite. Delivery was a bit longer on the Elite and it had fewer ratings, which was primarily the reason for my choice. It says components are better on the Elite, but that just tells me these components aren’t as good. It would help to see a real comparison of this model and the Elite.I’ll follow-up later to let you know how these hold up over time.

Good bye, prop rod!
As mods go, there are some that cost a little more up front but give you great returns for the life of your car. These Quicklift struts are just that kind of mod!You can opt for the stainless steel version for $40 more, but my personal interest was keeping my engine bay to a primarily black-and-white theme. I actually had a set of the stainless Quicklift elite struts on another Mustang, and they are arguably worth the extra money for what you get. But my car is a garage-kept fair weather driver, so I'm more concerned with the engine bay's color scheme than rust or corrosion concerns. The best part of this investment is that you can finally get rid of that prop rod! No more working around that thing, or trying to get a clear picture of the engine compartment. It's very simple to attach, with all the parts supplied. There is a paint-stamped bunch of text on the barrels of the struts, but you can remove that with Goof-off or laquer thinner. I opted to keep the Redline decals on, as I don't mind advertising their product, but you could remove those, too, for a complete stealth look. The action on these is smooth and quiet, and closing the hood no longer requires you to slam or drop it; the struts do a great job of lowering at a steady rate, so all you need do is press down on the front of the hood to engage the locking mechanism. It's a shame that we can't see them all the time, but that just makes me want to put the hood up whenever I park!

Big thumbs up! Easy to install.
I got tired of using the prop rod on the hood of my 2008 Bullitt. There was a lot of talk on the different car forms as well as videos on YouTube discussing the different brands of these hood struts.I was evaluating lifting power versus placement of the struts. Depending on the brand some of the struts mount closer to the firewall that others and some require drilling a hole.I wanted to have an ability to Bolton in not make any extra holes and have them be strong enough to lift the hood without needing a prop rod. With most of these struts you will have to lift the hood about a foot or so to get the Pistons to where they can apply in a force to start the raising process. There's a lot of pressure in these Pistons so don't be deceived into thinking they're broken if you can compress them by hand.Once you get them on the hood you will see that once extended,if you gently start to push down to close good, the pistons will start to compress. There was no issues with gaps on the hood, either side to side or up and down. Eerything fit very well.My car has an aftermarket fiberglass hood which I have heard is actually heavier than stock hoods. This brand of struts specifically indicates that they will work with aftermarket fiberglass hoods so that was the one aspect that sealed the deal on which brand I picked.Big thumbs up. Easy to install.

Easy Install
Took maybe 10 minutes and that was because my car had a 'sound tube' in the way. The instructions are very clear on what to do. Super easy. I left my prop rod in place just in case the struts fail in the future.

Fantastic product and also the best customer service!
One small bolt was either misplaced by myself or fell out during transit, but all I had to do was write a quick text message and the exact part was sent to me overnight! One of the great auto parts sellers on Amazon. I highly recommend!

Wonderful product the penny pinchers at Ford leave off to save a few bucks.
I put a set of these struts on my 2019 Mustang, so when I got a 2011 this was the first thing I ordered. Give me a break Ford, a cheap prop rod on a $40,000 (or more) car? If you have a Mustang and do any work or service under the hood you really need to add these struts. Very easy to install. I know there are some other brands, but these puppies work great. The company even has good videos if you are not sure how to install, but for most people these can be added in about 15 minutes, although it is nice if you have a helper to keep the hood in position while you snap the ball-joint ends in place, the prop rod is not as good as a helper, but I did it by myself and I'm 73.It is funny-sad to see all the Mustangs for sale that do not have these (or similar) struts installed. Come on folks, get with the program; if you have a Mustang with a prop rod do yourself and the next owner a favor and install these.
