Not sure if it works or not. As of now.... NOT!
I know it said it needed time to come up to speed to work, but so far, the crickets in my apartment keep showing up (alive and not affected by the "noise").One of the units was faulty because I could definitely hear the high pitch beep, followed by 5 more short beeps and it drove me nuts. I ordered replacements and sending them back. UPDATE: The pest control doesn't work when it comes to crickets. They still come into the apartment and start chirping. 😟

Oh, yes. Yes, indeedy!
These "bug zappers" really do the job! Ever since using these ultrasonic pest repellant plug-in devices, we seldom see an insect in our home. You will want to read the information leaflet carefully to gain the full benefit of these units. For example, the units should be placed higher than the usual wall outlet and they start working by agitating insects and other pests, so more are seen at first. The units become less powerful after about a year, so I order new units when I see an insect in the house.

It works, but covers extra plug
I would rate this a four star product. It appears to work well and appears to drive the pest away. The amount of lizards in our garage dramatically dwindled when I plugged in both units. I also haven’t seen any other little critters in the garage. My two biggest complaints are the rounded top makes it impossible to plug another item in above it. And my second complaint is the blue lights are very dull. At night the lights are easy to see, but in the daytime I have to get right up on it and cover it with my hand to ensure it is on. These products work and I’m highly satisfied.

Bug light and nice night light
This product is easy to plug in and acts as an attractive blue nightlight. I bought two because I have a serious problem with fleas getting in my home from a nearby field and biting me. Each repeller makes a very quiet tick noise repeatedly that I never notice if the repeller is in living room but in my bedroom i couldn't sleep with it on because I am sensitive to noises while sleeping. I still have bugs in my home but that is inevitable. It is not possible to know how well it works because you don't see the dead bugs like you do in a bug trap. It is worth trying for those who have problems with bugs. It looks much more attractive than a bug trap.

Excellent product!
With this kind of product, it's generally hard to determine whether it is really working. With this specific product, that is not an issue. It works, and it works well. My roommate's dogs, cats, and open doors were leading to an influx of fleas, mites, flies, and various other insects into my home. As soon as I opened my bedroom door, at least a few various insects would dash in. Then I bought this and plugged it in right next to my door. From that moment on, over the course of three solid months, I have had two flies enter my room, and have not noticed a single flea or other pest. (I love spiders, and they help the Earth, so they are exempt.) This plugin seems to have done exactly what I needed it for, inexpensively, simply, and effectively. My experience is not rock solid proof, but here's the thing: I bought three other devices from other vendors to place in other areas of my home. NONE of them seemed to do anything at all! Had I known, I would have spent the money on a few more of these. I'm not affiliated with the company. I am just an unbiased customer who believes in the product.

It is useless with packrats
I live in a rural part of northwest Arizona. Pack rats love to chew on vehicle and boat wiring. Another type like these ultrasonics I use but one didn't seem to work anymore so I bought these. Hooked one up hanging on the open hood of the car just like the other ultrasonics. Then set up a motion camera. A packrat spent an hour in the engine compartment that night. Cute little bugger didn't seem fazed by either the light or the supposed sound. The next night he was back and a trap with peanut butter was the end for him. The light is dim and light is one deterrent with packrats. At least for me, this was a total waste of money. Disappointed to say the least. First one star rating I've ever written.

Not totally effective
I have had the unit plugged in for a month. At first it appeared to work, as I didn't see any bugs in the first week. However, I saw a large spider on the floor right under the plugged in unit. I also started seeing gnats and scorpions again. I do not believe that this device is powerful enough to affect pests. The device range is too short and the sound waves it emits are too weak to effectively repel bugs or rodents.
