It will replace an older unit with a 11/4 hole
After reading David W review telling his story of his installation and having to widen the counter hole opening, I was inspired to contact InSinkErator customer service. I was told the faucet would fit a hole between 11/4-1/1/2 this is a wide range let me explain. The faucet has metal threads of 1/14 outside diameter, over which a plastic threaded extension screws onto. The extension is 11/2 outside diameter using a plastic nut to secure. InSinkErator recommend if your counter had a 11/4 opening to remove the extension insert the faucet and use the extension as a nut to install, this works only if your counter top is 1” or less thick because the metal threads are short. Also no 1/8” compression fitting is needed for water supply if you have the recommended InSinkErator filter on the water supply there is a quick release fitting used. Good luck

Decent Quality
The media could not be loaded. No complaints on this quality product. The small opportunity for insinkerator to improve?Would be great if there was a ferrule / compression sleeve and a compression nut for connections to the copper lead under the sink.@Insinkerator: including the parts would cost less than $1 on a $200 product and save customers an extra trip to their local plumbing store. A slightly more positive experience.Just

A good unit - but. . .
The internal seal on this unit is No Longer Available (NLA).I found this out after a particle of grit lodged on the flat sealing surface, and imbedded itself into it, causing it to drip constantly. The replacement part, or stem, is no longer being manufactured.Just sayin'Larry in CA

Not an exact replacement
If you are purchasing this faucet as a replacement for the badly designed, defective button-operated faucet Insinkertor foisted onto it's customers, and then refused to accept responsibility for when they failed, you are in for some challenges. First, you may find that the hole through your countertop or sink is not large enough to fit the threaded extension now used to secure the faucet. I had to enlarge mine by about 1/4" in diameter. Depending on the countertop material, this can be an interesting challenge. Given that I have a well-equipped shop, I was able to grind it out with a stone and a drill. You may need professional help. Once I got it mounted, I discovered that the copper tube that connects to the cold water was about 9" shorter than the original. I had to cut a section out of the old tubing, and make a run to ACE hardware for a compression fitting to joint the tubes together. Since Insinkerator can't be bothered to provide a new compression fitting to make the cold water connection, you will have to make this trip anyway. I then discovered that the new flexible 7/16" tubing was too short and had to use the old one. Getting it on, while laying on my back with my head stuffed under the disposal only added to my annoyance. In summary, what should have been an easy 15 minute job turned into 3 hours of cursing a company that appears to be so dominant in it's market position that it simply doesn't care a whit about it's customers. When this entire unit inevitably fails again, I will be shopping for anything BUT Insinkerator.

Once I got around to installing it, it works great!

One part does fit
A washer provided does not fit. It is not big enough. Fortunately I didn’t need it. Can’t comment on durability yet.

Easy replacement
After my push button faucet stuck the last time and kept running I decided it was time to replace it!Insinkerator should have a recall for this product as the button sticks and is very dangerous. The new faucet was a perfect replacement and took about half an hour to replace. The only extra part I needed was a 1/4" compression fitting to lengthen the copper water line.I got this in advance and added a length of copper tubing from the old faucet.I am very pleased with the results.
