Be careful
I do model airplanes and dioramas. This stuff is great but be careful. If it gets on something you dont want clean it with thinner or alcohol immediately. Once it dries youll have to sand it. Not for beginners. But it does its job well. (Perfect plastic putty brand) is water washable and less risky to use. I strongly recommend using it over Tamiya. Especially for beginners.

Great putty
Great putty. Best I've usedEasy to apply and sand. Drys fastTube lasts forever. Has not died out in the tube like the old sqn green used to.

Best putty hands down, but not for children.
I’ve been a fan of Tamiya products for years but never tried their putty. I usually just used Mr Surfacer, but that product isn’t a good option for larger gaps/holes. This putty dries fast, sands beautifully and barely shrinks. It definitely improved my models with less effort than before. I should have switched to it years ago! Just use it in a well-ventilated area since it contains nasty chemicals. Not recommended for young children.

Excellent product
Used it for the first time for wing and tail fillets on a balsa and tissue PT-17 model. It took a couple of tries to get a smooth joint as the putty becomes tacky in seconds. The tube also dispenses a wider bead than was needed to fill a small 90 degree joint. I cut the tip off a caulk tube and screwed it onto the threads of the putty tube and then cut the tip off the new assembly at an angle to make an applicator with a smaller bead. After applying the putty into the joint you must work quickly to smooth the putty and create the fillet with your finger or with a small round-tipped spatula. Do it in one smooth pass. If you try to go over it again, even immediately, it will stick to your finger and create a sloppy fillet. Wait until it dries before going over it again.I couldn't find the Tamiya thinner and tried mineral spirits, paint thinners, etc. What did work was Sig dope thinner which I had on hand for the dope finish for the model. It does sand smooth once it completely dries. I would give the putty 5 stars if it came with the applicator tip.

Worked Perfect
This worked perfectly for large gaps I needed to fill between models. It would have been nice if it came with a nozzle cap because this was a pain to use and mold with. I had a ton of clean up, not only on the table but the model itself. In the end I used a toothpick to help herd the putty.

THIS IS NOT A TOY THAT I REVIEW HERE.
I'm not sure why "toy" is the label that was applied for this modeler's putty, but it for sure is NOT a toy.I mentioned it wasn't "fun" to use... but that's probably in the eye of the beholder. The fun for a model builder is the end product. Applying putty to a model ship and then waiting for it to dry then sanding and forming the putty to my desire....is well, not really what I'd call, "fun".I rated the putty as long lasting and durable.... I've used it once on the day I got it, (yesterday), and wow! today the stuff is still there and in good shape to sand down.As far as educational, I gave it a "1" rating only 'cause there is no rating lower. Now, tell me, how does some sticky chemical mud become educational?By the way, since you asked; I'm a tad bit over 60... so, I'm no kid playing around here. The putty seems to have a world class reputation. When I lived in Japan 10 years ago, it had a great reputation then too. So, I am depending on that to make me happy with this product. My biggest complaint; small tube for huge price... but then, EVERYTHING costs too much these days, heh?
