Factor 55 00275-01 UltraHook XTV Winch Hook For ATV/UTV Red

This hook looks and feels awesome. The snap ring used to attach hook to winch line is very small and it broke while I was installing. I'm very familiar with snap rings and I only use the correct tools when dealing with any snap ring. the diameter of the holes on the snapping are .05' not your standard .07". that's fine I went and bought the correct snapping tool just for this hook. when I removed the ring it came out perfectly. however reinstalling the ring snapped before I had a chance to even try to attempt installing it. So I went to my local auto parts store and bought a replacement snap ring kit. They did not fit in the Factor 55 hook. I took the hook and the rings including the broken ring to my mechanic He was able to fit the broken snap ring in the hook, we measured the replacement rings and they were fractions of a mm off and would not fit. When you pay this much money for an accessory and it's held together with flimsy snap ring, making the hook useless it is very disappointing. Factor 55 should at least send spare snap rings or the correct tool to install. I feel the hook will fall off any minute with a partial snap ring holding this all together.

Nothing wrong with the Factor 55 ULTRAHOOK! This is all about the sellers rating and picture that shows a Gray ULTRAHOOK and the description says RED. I received RED and was expecting Gray! Yes I should have read the description, but it was ordered on a mobile device and as they say "Every Picture Tells a Story - Don't it"? Deceptive listing and should be changed!

I will use it to recover my buggy when i get stuck , you aint having fun if you aint stuck
