LEGO Stranger Things The Upside Down 75810 Building Kit (2,287 Pieces)

I bought this as a birthday gift for my son. The product was well above the suggested MSRP, but it is a retired set, so there are very few available. It arrived promptly and my son commented that it is easier to tell the pieces apart as now the bags come labeled, as opposed to previous Lego sets that had unmarked bags. There are a lot of parts, but he was able to put it together with no issues. The pieces stay in place as compared to other, more fragile sets that cannot be touched without pieces falling out. This is especially important due to the “upside down” feature. The entire set can flip over so that it is right side up or upside down and stability is important. I love the detail of this set and we are both pleased with how it looks.

So the final product took this Lego build from a 10 out of 10 to a 100 out of 10. I had my 13 year old son try and put it together but it was a bit difficult so I took over. The instructions were not as clear as I would’ve liked but they were thorough (only after I realized what they were trying to illustrate). Be prepared to scratch you head a few times. I made the mistake of in wrapping all the cables and they got all tangled up. I wouldn’t recommend putting this together if you haven’t had any experience with Kits like this. As I mentioned before though…. The final product is amazing!

Bought this set for my 10yr old daughter for Christmas who LOVES the show. She finally finished putting it together and it is such a cool set! The detail is just incredible. She loves this and is so proud of herself - big set, big accomplishment!

Wonderful gift, arrived in time for Christmas

I ordered this set to give my son something to do while we're stuck in the house due to COVID-19. He really enjoyed it, and it looks great. He is able to flip between the right side up and upside down without anything falling off. Well built. He noted that the method to attach the SUV to the top of the set was not covered, but it did look a bit empty without it. Even the vehicle stays put when you turn the set over. Great distraction!

I was given this build for Christmas, so naturally, the next day I sat down and worked on it for around 6 hours. With a lot of patience, it was completed and is really cool. I had no problem attatching the two houses together and it is awfully sturdy. I do think the value for money could be better with the addition of maybe Castle Byers or just a few more characters. As a die hard Stranger Things fan I would've loved a Nancy, Jonathon, or Steve minifig. I was able to put this together as a 13 year old, so I doubt it would be a problem for your kids if they have the attention span. If you have the money to spare, definetely consider adding this piece to your builder's collection!

Honestly, the fact that I was able to buy my 14-year-old son just sat for his birthday and make him happier than he would’ve been with an upgrade to his iPhone made it worth every penny in the world. His birthday was over Thanksgiving weekend and he is on bad nine right now. He is a very good student and doesn’t build on weeknights because he gets too into it. He told me he’s going to finish it Friday after school. We plan to put it on our mantle when he’s all done.Stranger things is the only TV show my whole family watches together the minute it is released. We did not go out this past Fourth of July.

Don’t know what to do with your kids at home this summer. Then make sure you watch Stranger Things on Netflix, like a trip to 80s old school movies. Parent and kids will love the spokey story, funny, thrilling and creative. Then BUY this lego set, it was easy to put together with a few Easter eggs from the series. The entire family will enjoy and it looks great in our living room. You can even flip it upside down. AWESOME

My 12 yr old son is obsessed with Stranger Things and saved up for this set. It has excellent detail and is sturdy; very cool set. It’ll be a fantastic collector’s piece but is also fun for him to play with right now. He was able to put it together on his own in just over 1 day of total focussed work on it. It’s rated 16 yes but he was able to do it without help. Awesome set but expensive; high number of pieces and unique set may justify the price. My son is thrilled with it!

My 9 year old is obsessed with this set! It’s a huge set and took him many days to build it. Awesome details. As for Value, I find LEGO to be expensive for what you get, but it is what it is and we still bought it lol!

My 11 year old put this together in a couple of days and it looks amazing!!! It’s pricey (Lego never cost this much when I was growing up), but it’s a beautiful end product!

Always love how easy it is to follow Lego instructions to create an amazing design. Good replica of the Byers home!
