Q: can i add it for bonsai soil?

No its more of a gravel than sand

Q: can i use this with an under gravel filter?

don't use an under gravel filter. they are not worth the difficult up-keep. Aim to have 10X gph filtration the # of gallons your tank is with a hang over back or canister filter. ie if you have a 50 gallon tank, make sure you have 500 gallons per hour of filtration. also, it wouldnt hurt to have a sponge filter in there as well.now you can use this substrate!

Q: Should I still add aquarium salt?

Im assuming your setting up an african cichlid tank, adding salt isn't needed, so long as you have enough filtration and do weekly or by weekly water changes you will be fine.

Q: How many bags for a 75 gallon tank?

We have a 40G bow front and we used one bag. You might get away with 1 bag but it would be thin so at least 1 1/2 bags of not 2.
