Contour Products Back Wedge Pillow With Massage

Nice massager for my back pain. Helps ease ache enough to slip into sleep. It is, however much more "narrow" than it appears in the photo. The seller did state the product dimensions, however I suppose I got two dimensions mixed (the width and the length) because I did expect it to be as wide as a standard pillow at least. I am an average sized woman and find that my shoulders do not comfortably fit onto the pillow. Due to the nature of the product however, there was a notice in the box stating I could not return the pillow - this was disappointing. I would have tried to exchange it for a larger one.As to the massaging aspect, it runs on AA batteries so there are no plugs or wires to worry about. Using rechargeable batteries makes it practical for each night. There is no timer, though, so once you turn it on it continues until you wake and turn it off, or the battery dies. If you do not turn it off and run it for approx six hours, the batteries last for only about three nights - so you will definitely need rechargeable batteries.The item did arrive very quickly and was packaged quite well.

I guess the high price is because of the "massage" feature, but it is really just a a vibrating motor that to me is completely annoying, not relaxing like a massage. Someone else might feel different, but it is headache-inducing to me so I don't use it. The wedge pillow itself I do like. It is much better than those triangle wedge pillows. I do use it to prop myself in bed and read, watch TV, etc. But in my opinion it is just way over-priced, and I'd never buy another one. Another thing that is annoying is that you can't wash the zip-off cover in the washer or sink (why make it zip off at all if it can't be cleaned?). It says spot clean and let dry only, and you can't really get a pillow really clean doing that only. Also, you can't find pillow cases for this large, odd-shaped pillow, so keeping it clean is practically impossible and at least a huge hassle. I guess if you were handy with the sewing you could make a pillow case. So bottom line review: Comfy for reading, watching TV in bed, better than the less expensive triangle wedges, massager is annoying, hard to keep clean and overpriced. It needs to be in the 40 dollar range, not 80.

I must say it actual contributed to my final decision to purchase the Contour Products Back Wedge With Massage.Let me clarify my reasons for the purchase, and I swear they are honorable. The main reason being for post Thoracic Outlet Syndrome decompression surgery so I could sleep upright. I learned this the hard way, and I cannot begin to explain how essential sleeping upright has helped. The second reason was it was cheap, yeah I said cheap. Honestly I could not rationalize spending hundreds of dollars for a wedge of foam I would use for a short time. All in all it is a decent product, nothing special unless you get the removable "unit" version. Although I venture to say the model I received vibrates better.As a side note my wife and I were rather disappointed to find the model we received was laking the infamous removable "unit". It would have been nice to have a convenient storage space for my iPhone or my wife's Lily Lelo.

My Husband purchased this adjustable wedge pillow for me to sleep on because I recently had Cervical/Neck/Spine Surgery and can not lie flat. The pillow can be positioned 2 ways so you can sit firmly upright and have a supported neck and lower back to read, eat or relax. You can also lie it down to have a longer incline to sleep on quite comfortably. It has a battery driven vibration for relaxation, but am not allowed to use/try for a couple more weeks. Husband tried it out and said it is strong enough to feel but not over powering. The cover unzips for easy cleaning and cover is very soft to the skin. I am sure I will use this long after the mandated 3 months with my cervical collar. Rcvd thru Prime with no issue from seller. Thank you!~

I bought this for my husband. It's not really wide enough for a grown man. It's OK for me, but it's not as contour to one's back as the photo appears. Also, the massage motor is prhobitively loud. So if you are trying to watch TV, it's annoying. Plus, it's not a massage, it's a vibration - the kind that will give you a headache. Unfortunately, it's also non-returnable. It's an OK wedge pillow, that's all. Forget the contour concept or the massage concept. Find something less expensive that doesn't pretend to have bells and whistles.

For starters, this is a difficult item to find that fits an individuals needs. I found it to be a little too firm for sleeping. The lower incline was too awkward for sleeping. If it wasn't so firm that might have made it more tolerable. Flipping it around for the sitting position is good although a head rest would be nice. Came with a massager installed and powered by batteries. Did not buy it for that and have not tried it but other reviews do not rate it very high. I am not saying this is a bad cushion/wedge. I am just saying it does not fit my needs. I also feel it is overpriced at 80 bucks. Be careful what you order and read every review and any information you can get before buying. Better yet if there was a store that sold them you could try it out. I have no such place in my area, that is a place that carries a variety of this item.

I both like and dislike this pillow. I especially like using it as a backrest when I am reading or sitting on the bed to work on my bed desk. It is very comfortable in this position. I have never used the back massager so I cannot make a judgement on it.The only negative about this pillow is that it is too hard to use for sleeping. I sometimes need to sleeping with my head elevated and I have partially solved the problem by placing pillows on it.
