Speedo Cotton Sports Towel

I go swim 3-5 days a week and I would say that this towel absolutely useless for everyday use as towel for swimmer.It is extremely small and doesn't wipe off your body like any other synthetic towel. Your body still wet after using this towel.

I swim a couple times a week and wanted to use this Chamois to dry off. I tried it few times, and while it does absorb an amazing amount of water, it leaves a moist, slimy layer of water on my skin. It's not that the towel is saturated, it just doesn't wisk away the last bit of water like a normal towel does. This would be good for a diver who wants to get mostly dry between each dive, or for somebody who sweats a lot and just wants to get less wet. But it isn't going to dry you completely.

Bought this because I didn't want to pack an actual towel for the rare occasion that I decide to hit the public pool or if I'm staying someplace other than a hotel where I would have to bring my own towel.It's too small to wrap around the body and I still feel a little damp all over after using it, but otherwise it's still really absorbent and a pretty convenient thing to have. I might have to buy something bigger in the future personally, but this is still a good product.

The Speedo Sports towel is an artifical chamois designed to wick water and sweat away from your body while remaining a compact item that can fit in your swim bag or gym tote.I use mine to wash off after working out; gyms these days have no showers (what's with that?!) but my office lav has a sink, so I wash off after working out before I hit my desk. I use this towel to dry off.It fits into a plastic sleeve and it's supposed to stay moist, otherwise, like any chamois, it gets hard and has to be rehydrated. I assume, since it stays moist, it has an anti-fungal and antibacterial component in the fiber, which is cotton-based.As has been said here, it can get a funky smell but it can be washed in the washing machine, which you'd want to do anyway, or swished out with soap in the sink. It also can get a funny color on the crease (mine is blue and a rusty spot showed up.)The dimensions: 40cm x 30cm or 15 3/4" by 12".

This is super handy for drying off after a swim, so I don't have to muck up an extra bath towel before showering! I use it to dry myself off after getting out of the pool or lake, while I'm still "dirty" but then I use a fresh bath towel for after showering so I'm not drying off my clean body with a chlorine/lake water towel.All it needs post-use is a rinse in the sink or shower, then store it back in its container for next time. It's compact size means it has a permanent spot in my swim bag with my suits, caps, and goggles! Convenient and handy!

I was surprised to learn that this product is about the size of a dish towel. It is very absorbent though. The texture is a little unpleasant, but you get used to it.

Got a Nike towel, but like this towel much better. The Nike is too thick and sticky, but this towel is a better size ( nice and small) and does the job perfectly.

Besides the size, I can leave this towel in the swimming bag and not get the "wet dog" smell the next morning. They are designed to stay a little wet and dry you off instantly, I don't even swipe my skin with it, a little dab with the towel is all you need; wring it out and dab again if need.This is the second one I get, the first one was left behind at a swim meet.
