Summit Chemical Company Pond Mosquito Dunks - 2 Pack

I bought these before to kill fungus gnats that were breeding in my houseplants soil, but they barely made a difference. So I bought the granules that also contained Bacillus thuringiensis israelensis (Bti), which is what kills the insects in the soil and it worked very well. This year I ran out and couldn't find it for sale anywhere close by. The fungus gnats were very irritating and reproducing rapidly so I bought this. Let me tell you how I got it to work so well for me. I had read about someone finding the powder version that she put into the water for watering her plants and she was finally able to stop the cycle. So I decided to crumble it into tiny pieces, added water, and let it sit for a few days before watering my plants. I saw an impressive reduction in the fungus gnat population. I have some sticky traps too and since using the dunks in this way, I'm seeing very few on the traps. So that was the key for me. Making sure that the Bacillus thuringiensis israelensis (bacteria) was well distributed and had time to saturate the water.

This product works well and is safe for fish and other aquatic animals. Mosquitoes are bad and in Connecticut there have been cases of encephalitis so it’s important to me to keep my property as free from mosquitoes as is possible! It floats on the top of the water and I replace it once a month. Well, worth the cost to keep mosquitoes at bay. (it’s also very unobtrusive and usually floats near the edges, so if you have plants, you don’t even see it!)

Actually works for my propagated plants! All mosquitos are gone and my plants are still alive. Woohoo

These work pretty well to bring down the number of mosquitoes in the yard, but you’ll definitely want them in buckets around your yard in multiple places. I’d say they decrease the amount of mosquitoes by 1/3.

I had a mosquito infestation inside my house because I had moved some of my outside plants inside due to some rough weather. By the time I figured out that’s where they started, they had moved on to other areas of my house with any standing water (like the kitchen sink drain and unused toilets). I killed around 300 over 3 weeks…it was really bad. With my health issues, I can’t use chemical foggers. Anyways, i had some plastic bowls that hold a quart of water. I filled them about halfway with water and used 1/2 of a dunk in each bowl, then placed one bowl in each bathroom and my kitchen. I also had to make an attractant to lure them in there…just look on YouTube for the yeast/brown sugar trap, I put a trap next to each bowl. The adults lay eggs in the bowls with the dunks and then they either die from “old age” or by getting stuck in the traps. It took 4 weeks but it really worked, I havent seen any skeeters within the past 10 days. Several comments in here think it should only take 2-3 days to kill every mosquito, that’s not how this works, it takes some patience.

This really works. This summer I did two things, one is to clear out standing water in an unused trash can. Second is add the dunk to the bird bath. Before I put the dunk I saw tons of mosquito larvas swimming in it. I put the dunk in, now dramatically cut down the mosquito population. Now I can stay outside even without repellent.

I was so excited to use this product to see if they would put a dent in these diabolical, hideous, torturous mosquitoes in S.E. Georgia, they are from the pits of hell. I followed the instructions to the letter, placed the container on my Mom's front porch. Maybe I need to use more than one, I got bitten twice after getting out the car, open the back door and get a bag out...walk 20 steps to the front door. I'm not going to say they don't work until I reload and use another disc...but so far...these mosquitoes are laughing and biting the crap out of me. Will give another review after I double up.

I’m sure that a lot of people have said it before but i was still skeptical about products like this. In my mind I was thinking that instead of lowering the mosquito population instead I’d be helping them hatch right into my backyard. Now I am a believer this product works but you have to give it time. It won’t happen overnight and make sure that the mosquitoes love your bucket more than any other standing water. If you can make the mosquitoes lay their eggs inside of your buckets this will kill all the larvae. It is very effective for having less mosquitoes around the area where you put these bait buckets I call them. Then just give it a few weeks I guarantee that you’ll see less mosquitoes if you do everything right. Overall satisfied customer and will be getting more for next summer.

Decisamente stermina ogni tipo di zanzara top... Unico problema se siete nel vicinato e gli altri tengono acque stagnanti e poca pulizia dei vari giardini o siete in prossimità di boschi o zone palustri questo prodotto garantisce e Ve lo assicuro che per lo meno le zanzare che vi pungono oggi non si riproducano oltre ma se vengono da fuori la vostra proprietà c'è poco da fare

Perfecto lo recomiendo para matar los mosquitos tigre . Lo uso en hidroponia . Los mata en un día , no queda ni una larva . La única pega que se deshace el corcho muy pronto
