Great Gluten Free option!
I had to give up eating oatmeal (even Gluten Free oatmeal) due to certain sensitivities. This product has been a great substitution as I was missing eating a hardy breakfast with so many dietary restrictions. Cooks up nicely on the stovetop. I add some sugar free brown sugar, or cinnamon with Stevia for an added boost of flavor after it's cooked. Tastes great! Thankful to have another option for breakfast.

Great taste and texture!
This cream of buckwheat is so good! As a child, I was a very picky eater, and my grandma used to make me a white looking kasha that was the only thing I would consistently eat. After moving to the US, I started looking for something with the same texture as what I remember, but nothing was quite right, until I found this! Here's how I make it in about 3 minutes: Mix 1/4 cup of Pocono buckwheat cereal with 1 cup of water, microwave for 2 minutes, then add 1/4 cup of milk and salt to taste. Stir and enjoy!

Delicious but there are options
Delicious cereal! And buckwheat is the best substitute I've found for wheat, rice and oatmeal, which are no-nos for me. This product is too expensive, though. It's much cheaper if bought multiple boxes at a time. Also cheaper and slightly coarser is the Organic Creamy Buckwheat Hot Cereal from Bob's Red Mill. For a nice big helping, I put one-third cup of either cereal in a bowl, add agave nectar and salt to taste, and add one-and-a-third cups boiling water. If you do dairy, you could add milk or butter. Then I put the hot bowl in my (weak) microwave for three minutes, then cover it and let it stand about four minutes to thicken. Then I stir in some washed blueberries. The coarser textured cereal is nice, and if you like that, you'll like the cheapest form of buckwheat, the whole raw kernels called groats, which you can get for about two bucks a pound from the bulk bin at the health food store. I'm not sure how long it keeps, and I don't know if it is attractive to mealy moths. Some people store their buckwheat cereal long-term in the freezer, and some use sprouted buckwheat in recipes. The groats need to soak for a bit before you cook them. 20 minutes to over night, depending on how you like it. Some folks drain the soaked groats and stir them in a saucepan over medium heat until they're a bit toasty-smelling (two to four minutes) in a (nonstick!) pot before cooking as you would the milled cereal.

Great alternative to oatmeal or cream of wheat
Great flavor! Easy to prepare! Paired with protein and fruit for breakfast! Used water and splash of vanilla to cook then splash of coconut milk.

As expected
Great product. A little pricy. But it’s healthy and I am trying to have healthier breakfast. I make it a little thick then add Greek yogurt. Doesn’t really have much of a taste, but I don’t add the recommended salt which would probably make a difference.

Excellent cream of wheat replacement for people who can't consume gluten
Excellent gluten-free option for warm cereal. I expected Cream of Buckwheat to be flavorless, but it has a light grain flavor. It cooked up in 90 seconds with water in the microwave. The resealing bag worked as well. So many out there don't. The texture is a bit different than cream of rice and cream of wheat because this grain absorbs more water. The volume is larger when cooked. I added a tablespoon or so of maple syrup which gave it nice flavor and sweetness. I checked into the nutrition versus cream of wheat and cream of rice. Each has its benefits and those change depending on whether or not the product is made from the brown or white version of the grain (actually a pseudograin). While the label does not provide in depth information about additional minerals like copper, magnesium, and phosphorus, buckwheat is said to be especially high in these nutrients.

Okay product
Okay tasting. Fresh wheat free product. The cost is a bit much, but it is a good quality item. It may taste better if it was cooked longer. So it does take a bit of time to cook.
