Bought this as a replacement and replaced the broken factory one with no problems

All i use for my auger. Definitly a good buy.

I put this on my Earthquake MC43 tiller with the Viper 43cc motor. It was simple to install and is so much easier to start. It really takes the effort out of turning the motor over to start it.

It's an exact replacement on my Eskimo auger. While I think they are not as quality as they should be (when compared to other auger pull cords), this is what you'll need to replace it with once it's broken. Do yourself a favor and order 2...

fixed broken one as backup with tools added to jeep bucket while ice fishing, won't be headed home if it breaks next time, just to the jeep for parts and tools

Its sad that Eskimo manufactured such a horrible cheaply made product such as this that I am sure was done to generate extra revenue. I have had to replace this numerous times and know lots of people as well with the same issue. Eskimo is horrible to deal with and won't stand by there products at all. I regret ever supporting this company as they have let me down repeatedly on my auger and my ice tent. Please note that I only paid $39 for this pull start and now it is considerably more expensive. Update. My 4th one failed again last weekend. (Jan 25/20). Forced to buy another one and they are now $53. You are such criminals Eskimo. Why have you not manufactured a better pull start knowing that the one you currently offer is crap. Shame on you. Update. March 2022. 5th one failed now and the cost is now $75 for this part.

Once you own one of these Eskimos you will learn how to pretension the starter before pulling like a lawnmower, chainsaw or a Jiffy. These Hypercoils are very fragile and Eskimo knows it.. Do not let anyone else use your Hypercoil without educating them on how it works. Always best to buy 2 of these as the one that you have on the lake WILL fail at some point. Eskimo is a company that would rather sell thousands of these a year and put profit before quality.

Needed new recoil on my Eskimo shark z51 after 10yrs. Have used this one about 4 times and it seems to be less durable and recoil isn’t as tight as original. I’d be surprised if it lasts 2 years.

Bought a Woods Ice auger from Canadian tire and it works great but the recoil kept falling apart so after doing some research I found that Eskimo actually makes the Woods brand ice augers. I threw this one on and works perfectly!

Works just like it should. Was very easy to install, does not come with a new pressure mount plate however. I think it is a shorter pull than the stock one was, which makes it easier to pull it super lightly and not over pull which is what caused the original to break. Shipping was also great, and early
