Easy on and off
I love this fender. It mounts without any velcro or zip ties, which means you probably don't want to leave it on when your bike is on a car rack going down the highway, (because it might not be there when you arrive). But sideways highway speeds aside, it fits plenty tight (on my seat, anyway), to keep it from coming off on the trail. And I actually see that as a plus, because you can just keep it flat in your camelbak, and only pull it out and pop it on when you need it. It's so easy to put on and off, you don't have to have it on all the time.

Works ok. Looks good. Stays in place.
These aren't very good pic's, and I don't know IF you can really see the fender in these, but it's there and adds even a cool aesthetic as well. In person it look great on the bike. Stumpjumper carbon expert 29. I would say it's a 4-star, but I'm giving it 5 because it's really the only quality option I know of.I have this on a dropper post which I was concerned it may be flopping around too much with the dropper. There aren't a lot of options for full suspension dropper post rear fenders--of course. It's not going to be a HUGE defender against really wet or muddy conditions. Adding another guard to the seatstay may help more. You can see I have the front version too, in full length. That WORKS for sure. Overall it's a good set to have on there. I like the little extra 'bling' and since all my accessories are orange (except my Renthal APex stem) this was a good looking option. The material is flexible, but it's a thick and tough material. If I don't make contact with the rear guard, it'll be in the same place even after a somewhat aggressive ride. It DOES keep a little extra off my shirt and backpack, which I noticed since installing. That's all I expected the rear flap to do anyway so I'm pleased.I liked these so much I put them on one of my Specialized hardtails too (Rockhopper).~JSV

Pretty good and worth the money.
Not bad. It is easily installed and stays on pretty good. Helps keeping your rear cleaner but won't stop all the over spray of mud. Worth the money to save your pricey riding clothing some.

Saved my butt many times!
This is one of the items that people think its overpriced for a piece of foldable plastic. However, it truly is life-changing for a biker such as myself. Nowadays, most bikes (especially budget ones) do not come with a mudguard. Finding and installing one is often a hassle, an excersise in checking compatibility, and sometimes there is no easy way to attach them either. I found this product and slapped my head - why did I not come up with this: Easy to understand design, with a clear goal to protect your butt and back[pack] from rain.I utilize this on a bike that already have a mudguard attached which did not cover the wheel well enough. Since then, I had no problems with rainy days and keeping everything dry. To be honest, it was surprising how well this fender holds up - it is only a small plastic hooking mechanism after all. This product is now attached to my bike for more than half a year - after tons of vibrations, rain and shaking around it is still well-attached. Another benefit is that you can take it on and off by demand or when sawpping bikes, with a very small footprint (just fold it to a flat piece of plastic again.

It was great, until it disappeared...
Installed it securely according to the instructions. Took my bike out for a ride in the rain. There is no bad weather, just bad gear. Experienced some flash flooding. Even handled the volume of water running accross the trail. The Butt Fender kept my rear dry until it flew off my bike. It lasted three rides and less than 95 miles. Really want to give this 5 stars, but I can't if it doesn't stick around long enough to enjoy for the long haul. I'm going to try again, hopefully this one will last.

This thing is awesome!
I was really bummed by all the fenders I was finding for my mountain bike. They were all too bulky and not very convenient to take off and put back on. When I discovered this one it really addressed every issue I had with the fenders. It slips on to the mounting bars under the saddle simply by folding the tabs in (the directions are printed onto the fender yourself, which is great) and it will NOT come off on its own. I would know because I forgot to take it off while transporting my bike down the highway. I haven't used mine much and I would imagine the tabs will wear out after taking it off and putting it back on over time but it's so reasonably priced that it's well worth to just order another one at that point. I would definitely recommend this fender.

Excelent Fit
I had a hard time finding something for my son's new "Kawasaki Elektrode Bike" it came with no mud guards and after using it after the rain he ended up with his back all wet. I had a hard time finding something to fit and came across this, and it's almost a perfect fit I just have to glue a little bit under the seat so the mud guard stays up, but other than that it looks amazing and the color is the same as the bike. I'm satisfied

Doesn’t attach as described
This did not attach to my selle SMP saddle as described, fell off saddle rails so easily I just gave up and returned it.

Sooo worth it
A little tricky to mount …. But it’s been super flex and super at limiting to muck and wet spraying up my backside. Thanks Mucky for protecting the Nutz.

Light weight & easy fit rear mud guard
We have these on a few of our bikes here (colours matched to each bike). They are light, easy to fit & do a great job of keeping the worst of the muck off your back. Purchased my original one about 2 years ago.
