Nice Mouse, larger feel, easy adjust cursor speed!
This is a very nice mouse. I got to test one on a computer I repaired, and liked it so much I bought one. This mouse has a more squarish feel, more defined edges on each aide, so feels larger than most. I like that! Works well, semi smooth mouse wheel, no noise minor resistance, laser light tracking. Has a button behind the center wheel, so you can increase the tracking speed of the mouse pointer. Unique! The button works on PC and Mac. Just click it, and blue LED lights indicate the cursor track seed on screen. Silver color with black accents, so also matches my computer and keyboard color if that matters to you. Worth the $15 or so for it. Plus is a brand name, DELL. Is standard large usb connector, with plenty of cord!

Great mouse for the price!
I've been using this type of Dell mouse for many years now. It's biggest value point for me is the ability to change the mouse speed right from the button on the top. This is important what creating drawings of graphics and you need to slowly creep up on an intersection or attachment point. I hope this mouse is around for a long time!

Great value.
I like smooth/impermeable mousepads because they are easier to keep clean than fabric ones. However, optical mice have trouble with them, sometimes. Laser mice tend to be gaudy, expensive, and/or have too many buttons. This Dell mouse is cheap, straightforward, and simple, has the needed feature but not the unneeded glitz.Loses a star because mine had a problem with detecting false double clicks. Fixed it by adjusting the leaf spring under the button, using an online guide. Has been working fine for over two years. I like this mouse so much that I bought a backup, incase the one I have goes bad beyond repair.

Excellent price for such a well functioning mouse
The reason for 5 stars is that the price/performance of the mouse is outstanding. The mouse action is smooth. The laser tracking works on my desktop, which my last laser mouse did not forcing me to use a mouse pad. The scroll wheel has the clickey feel that I like. The hand position on the mouse feels natural. There is a button on the top that sets the scroll speed to one of 4 presets, position number 2 works perfect for me allowing me to scroll across my two screens in the limited amount of space that I have. The mouse has two buttons on the side that act as forward/back buttons. the buttons are small and clicking them is something new to me as my last mouse did not have them. At the moment using these feels unnatural, in time I may get used to them.My last mouse was a cheapish logitech that I liked very much (aside from the mouse pad thing.) The logitech mouse worked fantastically for about 13 years (as best I can recall.) I don't know if this new mouse will be as long lasting.

Dell mouse was defective.
The Dell mouse I received was defective; the buttons were too sensitive and would double-click when I was trying to single-click and would highlight areas in blue when I wasn't trying to, I was so disgusted, I threw it in the garbage and ordered another one directly from Dell. The newest replacement isn't much better; it's not sensitive enough-sometimes I have to click on things twice. Now I believe Dell makes poor quality electronics.
