Hi. Am thinking of purchasing these mats to put in my trailer to stop the mower moving around. Do you think they would be suitable and hard wearing? T

My opinion is no. These mats are heavy and great at reducing vibration. For the purpose you intend, I think there are 3 draw backs. First, they are an expensive solution to your problem. Straps and an old blanket may be a better idea. Second is the texture of the material itself. Up close, the rubber mat does not have a smooth or glossy finish. It appears to be made of tens of thousands of small rubber pellets partially melted together. This leaves lots (and I mean lots) of very small dimples and divots that will catch a sharp edge of something like gardening equipment and pull large chunks out of the mat. Third. If you try gently folding the mat, the pellets on the outside of the curve break their partial bonding and cause the mat to rip. This tells me it'd be great under the compression of a heavy washing machine but will get damaged by the tensile force of gardening equipment moving laterally during sudden breaking when being towed. I think so. We bought this mat underneath of our washing machine which was going mad at spinning, it absorbs loads of the vibrations nicely

Any tips for reducing noise from a noisy shower pump?

I’ve used rubber matting between pump and Wooden rafters and it has deadened the sound of vibration.
