A very different, but very comfortable chair.
I was a bit skeptical at first about this chair, but I have had back issues for most of my life (lack of curvature in the spine). I had been looking for a new office chair to maybe help out with long term (hours at a time sitting) comfort. Something with more lumbar support looked like the ticket, but most of those chairs were in the hundreds to thousand dollar range. I was browsing amazon for a while and I seen a recommended product, but it did not look like a chair, I thought it was some workout equipment. A kneeling chair? Never heard of them. Looking through the list of kneeling chairs, there were several, but this Sleekform chair is the one to get, i.m.o. Most of the other chairs were more expensive (almost twice the money) and a few were wooden and had issues with frames splitting/cracking according to reviews. Anyway, I got this chair two days ago and it went together in about 10 minutes..very simple construction. It feels robust and I feel I can trust it for my 6'4'' 215 lb. frame as the rated weight limit is 250 lb. The past 2 days have seen me abandon my old office chair for the Sleekform. I have no issues with sitting for long periods of time. My shins are a bit pressure sensitive, so they do ache after about an hour of use of the chair, but it is nothing that I feel is a result of design. Placing a small and thin pillow on the kneeling pad certainly fixes this issue. The chair itself has an adjustable height/angle by turning of a dial that is built-in under the seat. When you adjust the chair from its default lowest position, it raises up higher and tilts more forward (this is to accommodate taller folks). The whole trick of this kneeling position vs a normal chair is that in a normal chair you are usually slumping back in the chair and/or putting some pressure on your spine. With the kneeling chair you are positioned upright and leaning forward, which helps keep your back upright and correct (like when you are standing). This chair is also very light at 16 lbs. and is also very portable. The rolling wheels are also a plus. I would most definitely recommend this chair to anyone that has back problems and needs a convenient alternative to a standard chair. Even more so, I feel that anyone that works in a garage or office could find a lot to like about this chair. I highly recommend.

Great product
I am enjoying this chair. It does help with posture by virtue of its design. It is nice-looking and easy to assemble. It is comfortable, in general, although the trousers you wear play a role in how comfortable you feel. The more flexible the trousers, the more comfortable. When my knees need a break, I simply stretch my legs and use the chair as a stool. As there is no back support, you're still holding your back straight. One suggestions for improvement is to give the seat some range of motion about its frame, so that it can be either completely horizontal or at an angle so your body weight leans a little more on the knee pad. With my height and the height of my desk, I wish my knees had greater contact with the knee pad and it seems to me that this could be achieved if I could tilt the seat forward just a bit. Another alternative is to give the knee pad more range of motion. That could work too.

Poker Dealer's Dream Chair
I purchased this product because I acquired severe lower back pain due to my line of work. I deal poker for a living, and sometimes have to sit for 12+ hours. Using a regular chair puts heavy strain on my lower back especially since I am constantly reaching and twisting in addition to sitting for long periods of time. After my shifts I could barely stand up straight because of the crippling lower back strain. I spent unreasonable amounts of money on chiropractic care and massage therapy just to deal. (no pun intended) I finally went to see a physical rehabilitation specialist at a back and spine center, and she informed me I was using the wrong muscles to support myself while I worked, because the muscles I should be using for support were weak and needed strengthening (gluteus medius). She gave me some exercises to strengthen these muscles, and stretches to relieve the muscles/bones that were being overworked (and causing the lower back pain). Upon doing these exercises, I started to feel better, however, the chair I was using at work seemed to set me back. (no pun intended) I started dealing poker on my knees during work to stretch the overworked muscles, and bring me relief during work. Someone then suggested I purchase one of these kneeling stools, and it was the best decision I have made for my back. Not only has this chair COMPLETELY relieved me of my back pain during work, but it simultaneously helped me strengthen the correct muscles I need to help my back support system function properly (core, thigh, and gluteus medius). I have been using this chair now for several weeks, and it has made a huge difference. I sleep better at night, and I'm not always stretching my back in public all the time because it hurts. I am not constantly trying to adjust my back bones. I am able to stand up from the poker table without being hunched over for a few minutes afterwards anymore. I have saved money on chiropractic care, and massages. I never had to go back to the physical therapist, either. It definitely takes some getting used to, as it bruised my shins after the first few times I used it, but I think my shins have gotten stronger as well, because they don't hurt or bruise anymore. Muy Thai fighters get kicked in the shins all the time, and their shins get stronger, so this really is possible. I've also learned to unhinge my legs and sit with my legs spread and my knees at 90 degree angles, with my butt sticking out, to break up the hours. It's amazing to feel the amount of pressure on my shins, and to put into perspective that was the same amount of pressure I used to put on my lower back. I placed a pillow underneath my shins to help ease that pain, and just purchased a memory foam pillow today to see if it will help. This is an amazing product, and you should definitely give it a try if you are experiencing lower back pains from prolonged sitting.

It squeaks super loudly. I really like everything else about it though.

i really like this chair, my only notes to potential buyers are that 1. it does take some time, especially on your shins, to get used to. i've had the chair for about a month now, and i'm still not completely used to it and change my position really frequently (like one or both feet on the floor, etc.) – to be fair, i am not at my desk all day or every day, so if you plan to use this chair for a 9-5 type of situation, you may get used to it a lot faster. my shins also hurt a lot less and after way longer on the chair compared to the first few days i had it. 2. i am 5'8'' with a 27 inch desk, and me and the chair fit great at my desk BUT – and this isn't the chair's fault, just something to keep in mind – my laptop is so much lower down from me now compared to my old chair/desk posture, it's a strain on my neck and eyes to look down at it. you may want to consider something to raise your laptop/monitor up if you think this will bother you. 3. the instructions were somewhat vague/contradictory at points, but nothing too hard to figure out yourself (basically something was on the wrong side of a piece OR the instructions were wrong, and it was confusing me for 20 minutes until i decided to just go with my gut/eyes LOL, then all was well). overall though, i'm really happy with the chair, my posture does feel a lot better when i'm at my desk, and i appreciate that it rocks as i like to fidget a lot when sitting down and this provides a good outlet for that.

I've had the Sleekform Austin for about a month now, and it has exceeded my expectations. It's a very comfortable and versatile chair, and has been a game changer for daily office work. The design is stable, it rocks well, and the plywood has a nice flex to it. The cushions are comfortable and broke in well over the first two weeks. The chair was easily assembled in approx. 15-20 mins. The instructions and labels were clear, and all parts were included. I used an impact driver during assembly, but don't recommend it; the bolts have soft heads, and I stripped a couple in the process. The supplied hex tool is all you need. Nothing has required retightening after a month of hard rocking. I originally tried to order straight from the company because I appreciated their designs, but they couldn't ship to me in Canada. A representative got in touch with me right away to direct me to their Amazon store for the solution, and she was extremely helpful and courteous. I kept my conventional office chair in case I wanted to switch it up from time to time, but I haven't used it since. To be honest, my lower back aches just to look at it. Thanks again to the Sleekform crew for all their great work!

I bought one of these a few weeks ago, and liked it so much I ordered a second one, all black this time. Well, I don't know what happened in between, or if I was just lucky the first time, but setup was way harder the second time -mostly because, for one of the knee pads, the bolt socket was not quite in front of where the bolt landed. I ended up being able to move it enough, but at that price, I would expect things to fit properly. Moreover, the two knee pads are not quite the same density, so I tend to slant on one side. Still love the idea and the look, though
