This masher is built well and pretty also. Works just fine.

This is a nice potato masher which gets used quite frequently, usually not potatoes- but it works great for that! It has a nice weight to it- not so light you feel like your going to break it, but not so heavy you'd pick another instrument over it, and is well constructed. i.e. no gaping holes for dirty water to reside in until you realize how gross it is. I got so sick of replacing things every year because they had random funk from going through the dishwasher and not drying out well or just plain falling apart. So when Thanksgiving was coming up and I couldn't find my masher, I instantly went here to check for a better replacement. The price was good, the quality in relation to price is excellent. The zig zag bottom means it is not difficult to get clean like the waffle style. I use it quite frequently, mostly for par-mashing cauliflower gratin and to give soups a little "body" without dragging out an immersion blender or transferring to a blender. I've mashed inside my stainless steel pans and enamel baking dishes and not marred either finish. Not much more to say, it works well for it's purpose, is easy to clean, and thus far still looks brand new over a year after purchasing... Highly recommended.

This excellent kitchen tool is perfectly designed to be user friendly. NO cleaning brush is included as ample space both above and below the blade allow excess shreds to fall free rather than becoming trapped in the corners. The blade is sharp making nicely defined veggie strips and comes with a cover for safety. Made of sturdy stainless steel, ease of use. Cleans up in a snap. Very pleased.

I want to update review as I heard back from manufacturer within 24 hours. The product is all stainless steel. The packaging I have is old and was redone for all the reasons I mentioned. It was also changed to say Swiss design, as no Kuhn Rikon products are actually made in Switzerland per their managing director. They provide resellers with copy, but can't control what they write. So, I now raised my review from 4 to 5 AND want to say this is a very responsive and customer friendly manufacturer. (Of course I don't know if all their design work is actually done in Switzerland, but hey...)below is original review:Ok, so this product package & peeler marked: Kuhn Rikon Switzerland on front & reverse. Peeler is marked Kuhn Rikon Switzherland with no actual country of origin marks. The packaging does say Made in China, BUT ONLY ON THE BACK and in a SMALLER FONT than Switzerland. This is not considered legal marking per 19CRF134.46. Why? Because it misleads the consumer - including this one - about the true country of origin. If Name includes country/ or US city other than country of origin, the country of origin name must be in close proximity (front and back since this has Switzerland front and back) and be AT LEAST in the same size font.I will also be sending this information to the manufacturer.I am not fond of misleading advertising or marking...that aside, this is the best version for the price I've found, though I have used it only once.This does look stainless, but is not marked as such. Some Amazon sellers say it is, some are silent on subject some say brushed metal. The manufacturer states the blade is stainless steel and say nothing about the peeler itself - by which I infer it is not stainless. I did however already write to the manufacturer and asked this question as well. Clearly there is some lack of clarity here at a minimum - by manufacturer and especially by some U.S. resellers.Would I buy it again. Yes.

I got this since I was fed up with my Berliner. Mushy squash "pasta" and a pain to use. This came and I used it right away. I had two zucchinis--one firmer than the other. I had a bit of "clogging" problem with the slightly softer squash. I had no problem with the firm squash until I hit the center part. Easy solution: I flipped it and just left a strip of inner zucchini unjulienned.So, this works well. I like it. I only plan to use it for zucchini pasta right now, but plan to try on apples and carrots in future. I will use it often. Let's see if it lasts. So much easier than the Berliner and less space hogging. :DTips:--USE VERY FIRM vegetables--USE a large fork to hold down one end so you protect your fingers from the sharp blade--Keep a wood chopstick or similar tool handy to unclog (or just rinse it in the sink).--Keep the plastic protector it comes with--you can use it to protect the blades (and fingers) when putting it away. I store it upright in --a glass in the cabinet.Enjoy.Keep a chopstick or something like that handy to unclog teeth when the squash jams

It does not peel easily or evenly. It is so much work.

Great for making papaya salad. Very high quality tool that cuts prep time down a lot. It does clog sometimes but nothing too bad.

It's sturdy and easy to use, so well worth the extra price. I use it mostly to make thin long strips of carrots and this cutter works great. It's not extremely easy to clean, but that has to do with the nature of peelers itself, not with this particular product. I'm writing this review to note that whereas I'm happy with the product, it was delivered with the plastic cap broken. It's way too much of a hassle to return it, particularly with the stay-at-home orders and besides I don't think I need the cap, so I decided to just use it. Hope Amazon will take more care with the packaging (e.g. use a small box instead of the plastic bag that was used to deliver mine) so that it won't arrive at anyone else's house broken.

Great little peeler. Everything tastes so fresh and looks so appealing in my salads! This gadget is well constructed and quite sharp. A little plastic guard that fits over the blade is included. I highly recommend this product!

Looks good and works great. So far everything I’ve purchased from Kuhn Rikon has been a solid investment and shows no signs of wear despite frequent use and dishwashing. Also, fits easier into my utensils drawer as it’s a bit less bulky than many mashers.

Super handy, sturdy and useful tool in the kitchen .

100 % original product. Strong stainless steel body, sharp blades and screws. Looks robust enough to last longer than the plastic ones. Time will be the best judge of its durability. As for price, its more than double of its original market price, as the product is being shipped directly from overseas; on account of absence of a local seller who imports goods beforehand on wholesale basis, and then affords to sell such imported products at prices closer to their original market prices.
