Not all keys were unique. *by N***. on Reviewed in the United States on December 12, 2019* The locks came individually keyed with two identical keys per lock, shipped in a plain Amazon parcel. Contrary to what the store page claims, not all keys were unique. There were some duplicates. (i.e. a set of keys could unlock multiple locks.) I see some reviews saying that all were indeed unique, so I suspect it's down to luck whether you end up with duplicates.The shackle is 1/8" (3-4mm) in diameter and seems to be made of stainless steel. If you only need to create the illusion of security, or want to keep something secure from children, this will probably do the trick. It's impossible to break it with bare hands. Due to the small size, I wouldn't expect this to stop a well-equipped burglar, but at $2 per lock I think that's pretty reasonable.The plastic covering is made of ABS, which has quite a reputation for being nearly indestructible under normal conditions. It's the same plastic that LEGO is made of, so as a big fan of LEGO personally, this caught my eye and told me that they were using good, premium materials. Of the 8 locks I got, the plastic housing could be pulled off of 1 of them. I don't think it's supposed to come off, but it snapped back on just fine, and the lock remained functional even without the plastic. The plastic is very slightly textured so it's easy to grip, and is fairly pleasant to handle.Overall I'm pretty happy with this product. These are CUTE, and I can't wait to see my kids using them next week. I actually ordered TWO sets, so I could have two different centers set up with word problems (which they generally hate doing) in the hopes that attaching a fun activity to them will make them more fun. Fingers crossed!As far as general usefulness of the locks, they all showed up with keys that work, the keys ONLY work for the lock they're with, and all the locks functioned properly when I got them.
