I bought one of these LumiPets on a whim when I was pregnant with our first baby because it was cute & I thought it might come in handy. It turned out to be WAY more useful than I ever anticipated! 🤯 Its soft light is perfect for middle-of-the-night diaper changes & nursing sessions, the brighter colors are great for visual engagement, and the soft silicone body is gentle on little skin. We’ve also used it for reading bedtime stories & taking potty breaks in the wee hours of the morning. Some quick features: to turn the light on, press the button on the base one time. It starts with a soft white light, but you can firmly tap the animal to change it to a brighter white light, a gradual color-changing light, an abrupt color-changing light, and to turn it off. Press the button a second time to “lock” the light into whichever setting you choose (which is useful for preventing rainbow light displays when you’re trying to read a story). Press the button a third time to turn the light off. The remote that’s included allows you to choose a solid color light, make it brighter/dimmer, and set a timer so it shuts off automatically. The battery life has been fantastic! We used the bear light every night for 3 years, but now he is mostly retired (I wouldn’t recommend these lights for lots of hands-on play—the silicone body can be peeled away from the lighted base, and our kiddo has pulled them apart so many times that it doesn’t stay together as well anymore). Now with our second baby, we got the kitty light, which is cuter by far! 🐱 I’ve also gifted the elephant & owl to friends who were expecting little ones, and they said it’s come in handy. LumiPets are just so adorable AND useful—I highly recommend!

I got this night light for my grandsons' bedroom and it's super cool. I thought it was gonna be kind of a soft squishy material. It is soft but you can hold it and sqyush it, it becomes flat like. It changes colors by touching it and the remote controls the lights too, plus turns it on & odd and that's how you set the timer. So it can sit on night stand or your child can hold it while they sleep. I got them the dragon and he's super cute. I'm going to order a junior size one so both my grandson's can each have one if they want to actually sleep wit it. Plus I like that it's rechargeable. Great night light!!

I’m really happy with the quality of this night light. Everything works perfectly - both the remote control and the lamp itself. It feels sturdy and well made, with no loose parts or flimsy details. Before this, I tried a cheaper version and was disappointed almost immediately, so this time I wanted something truly high quality. I chose the bear design because it looked the cutest to me, and my daughter (1.2 years old) loves bears. She is also very into electronic and especially glowing toys, so this ended up being a wonderful Christmas gift. When choosing a night light, safety was very important to me - I wanted all parts to stay securely in place and nothing to come apart. Having a remote control was also a must, since my daughter loves buttons and remotes. This light fully met my expectations and feels genuinely safe for a toddler. I was a bit worried that the color might change from very light touches or just from moving the lamp around, but that hasn’t been an issue at all. It actually requires a clear tap to switch modes, which I really appreciate. The silicone body is soft and squishy, so it can be gently squeezed, which my daughter finds very fun. The light can be turned on using the button, controlled with the remote, or by tapping the lamp itself. You can also lock in a specific color. The size feels just right - not too big and not too small, and comfortable for a toddler to interact with. It also comes with a USB charging cable, which is very convenient. I really like the wide variety of colors, brightness levels, and the timer option. Because it’s made of silicone, it can attract some dust, hair, or pet fur due to static, but it’s very easy to wipe clean or shake off. Overall, this night light has been a great addition and can easily become a comforting little companion for a child at night.

Specifically bought this for a small closet that does not have a light. This item is cute and squishy, would be a great gift for a kid. It gives off good light and has multiple colors and can be controlled by remote. Long battery life. Have used in power outage. Good for the cost.

I got this as a nightlight for 4-yr old. It's cute, she likes it, and it makes nice colors (except red - the first time she saw that color she said, "it looks mad" and it does look a little demonic when it's on red). I have one big complaint, and it looks like a concerns others expressed. In the highest brightness setting, it is very bright. I had originally put it on a dresser, but it cast way too much light, so now I keep it on a dark carpeted floor near a tapestry to minimize reflection. When you dim the light (using the remote), the light level is appropriate for nighttime except when the white color is on (I imagine white is all of the LEDs on at the same time, so white seems brighter than the other colors). The problem is, every change you make to the light resets the brightness level back to maximum, so if you change from say blue to green, you have to then click the dim button repeatedly to get it back to the right level for sleeping. Also, the color changing modes simply don't allow you to dim the light, period - they only work at the brightest setting, and can't be changed, so they're useless for nighttime (IMHO). I'd also prefer that the light could be turned on with the remote - you can't do that. It has to be turned on by touch. You can turn it off with the remote, and do all of the other features, but the initial on has to be by touch. At least when it's plugged in (can't be sure otherwise) it has a very dim internal light that makes it glow all the time, which I actually like, because it makes it visible (softly so) in the dark even when it's off. I don't know about battery life - we keep this plugged into a usb charger at all times. Occasionally the kid will play with it, but it's mostly treated like a lamp for our use. We hardly ever use the squeeze feature that lets you push in on the light to activate/change it, but it doesn't seem to work too reliably in my limited interactions. After the initial excitement wore off, though, we now set the light once at bedtime and don't manipulate it after that, and for that purpose it works fine. I give the kid the remote at bedtime, but she mostly doesn't touch it.

My daughter absolutely loves this nightlight!! She reads every night before bed and we’ve been trying to find a good nightlight for her that was also cute and this is perfect!! She loves being able to change the colors and the brightness !

Installation has been made easy to use. When placing the lamp to any surface such a desk or table. The led remote is simply wonderful. All the colors are very bright.Even when changing to different colors. The penguin lamps are true to size. Touch control of the penguin lamps are soft.

This is a very cute night light. The small, user-friendly remote control allows you to set the light color and timer, so it can be used as part of the bedtime routine. It is lightweight, portable and rechargeable and looks nice on the shelf when not in use.
