It did not have semi settings that worked.
I tried to set it up for my semi & it didn't work. The information book was printed so small we couldn't read it. Not worth the money

It's A Keeper
I'm a trucker and this device is easy to use and is very accurate. I only wish that it would stick better to surfaces that aren't glass.

This GPS does not have a sunshade as stated in the description.
I am enjoying the bigger 9" screen! I use to have a GPS with a 7" screen & did not realize all that I missed when looking at the screen at a glance. I was looking forward to using the sunshade & was very disappointed that the GPS was not provided with one. I am having a difficult time finding one for the device. I received the GPS on 1/12/2022 so I am still evaluating it. I have not had an issue with the actual device so far.

Is It a REAL Truck Driver GPS?
First, let me explain that I drive charter bus over-the-road. Over the past six years I've had two other truck/bus gps units from major manufacturers. When my last one went over the hill, several other drivers suggested the XGODY GPS...so, with some hesitation I bought the X5 model. I've used it for a couple of weeks now and can share my experience with this unit. The Good:This particular unit, the X5, comes in a very nice looking, and strong, outer case. The screen is large compared to my other units (one was 5" and the other 7"). A nice bright screen with great screen resolution. With a screen that large the display is not as cluttered. It has a nice touch screen feature and an easy to use GUI for the many features of the GPS. The package included a window mount holder, a plastic fixed base holder with adhesive grip, a charger, a rather nice--and, substantial--blue carrying bag, and a USB cord. Straight out of the box it worked just fine and had no trouble finding and connecting to the satellites. There are many ways the GPS unit settings can be configured making it rather versatile as a "world GPS".The Bad:The manual has been written (apparently) by a non-English speaker using Google Translate. It is so poorly written that finding out exactly how to configure the GPS takes lots of time and effort. The manufacturer spared no expense on the manual with print so small you'll need magnifying glass to read it if you are over 40 years old. On starting my unit for the first time I was surprised to find it was calibrated to measure in miles and yards. Ok, I could deal with that...until I discovered that yards--and not feet and inches--are used for everything less than a mile...that made setting up the bus specifications kind of interesting. Later, I would discover--with no real help from the manual--that it could be set for miles and feet. Unlike my former truck/bus GPS, this one is difficult to adjust on the fly. Need the sound to go away? Yep..it is about three menus deep. There is a setting for "cockpit"...which I have yet to figure out what that means...and, the manual is not helpful.Needless to say the learning curve is rather steep. The Bad:The GPS comes with a variety of "doo-dad" apps. None of which will actually assist a driver. MP3 player, ebook, movies, photos...there are apps for all of that. Keep track of your miles by quarter by state--something REAL useful--not there. Find a Pilot/Flying J, Petro, WalMart, McDonalds with just a quick click of a dedicated button? Yeah, not with this GPS. It will, however, connect by bluetooth to your cellphone--a feature that you will quickly learn to hate if you are a bus driver. (Unless, of course, you actually WANT everyone on the bus to hear your phone call). It will not connect by bluetooth to your hands-free headset. That means no turn-by-turn in your ear.Does it actually do routing for bus/truck that accounts for the weight limits and overhead clearances? I can't really tell. This is church camp season and it couldn't find the camp yesterday...but, lots of GPS units have trouble with remote rural locations. So, the jury is still out on that.It will work in a pinch...and, I'm going with it for another month...but, I won't be surprised if it winds up stuck in a drawer somewhere.

Loved the XGODY X4 but not this X5
I bought a X4 Gps from XGODY which I love but this X5 did not work. First it appears that I may have gotten a return due a label residue above the power button. Second even after 10 minutes I got no GPS lock. Check photo comparing X4 to X5. (I swapped positions to avoid any electronic interference on dash). I loved the way it looked, it matched my cars interior...sweet, but it just did not work. I wish it did. I was able to return it with no hassles, unfortunately at this time they are "not available" from Amazon. I hope XGODY fixes this model and they sell them again, I would buy another one. They did have a link to a map update website. Yes! They need an option of an external GPS antenna and a dash top mount.

Too difficult to program
This GPS is a piece of JUNK!!! The instructions are printed so small that you can not read them. Secondly, it is next to impossible to program a destination and have it guide you there. Thirdly, the unit came with Pacific Time programed in it and there was NO WAY to change it. I live in the Eastern time zone. Seriously this is a piece of crap unit.DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!
