It's not what you think. Stifled Genius, Laments Man's Failures
I am a functional Metaphysician. Don't let that throw you. W. Reich was a bio-psychiatrist. Not a theoretician, but also a functional scientist. He practice what worked and discovered that a model of Ether proved functionally useful in the arts of healing mental and physical illnesses. With these successes, he discovered that religion and $cience had similar failings. They did not have logical, functional reasoning. One was based on fantasy, the other on proclamation of unknowable mystery. He called them mechanistic and mystical. Neither could take him as far as he could go with his functional process of logical reasoning and keen observation and extensive laboratory experimentation.Reich discovered through direct observation the secret processes of sub-atomic forces that create matter and energy. His applications were all directed at healing. But, an ongoing drought in his day led him to promote applications in making rain. He succeeded so well, the future of farming and healing would have been forever changed if his technology was accepted and distributed.Reich's discoveries dovetailed with Tesla's work. He directly sought an evaluation from Einstein, who was intimately familiar with Tesla's work... (which Einstein helped discredit) and he could have supported Reich, except he knew what that would have done to his career. So, Einstein denied Reich's claims, despite the evidence... making up an excuse that was impossible with the controls Reich used in his experiments.Reich, being a Shrink thought the problem was a psychological one of society; he recognized it had roots in the socio-economic culture; but failed to understand what that meant. He stuck with the belief that men chose their mental states by internal motivation, ignoring the basic need to survive by the generosity of those controlling the limited resources of the world... and the overwhelming power of nature which could strike at any moment; forcing everyone to be sociopaths at heart, making everyone to create the armoring of the heart that he had found could be cured, enabling self-healing of terminal illnesses. But, those physical limitations force everyone to live as pirates hoarding gold, rather than as brothers by the golden rule. What he discovered was that an emotionally stunted (armored) person could not see the Etheric energy that he had discovered. But with treatment in his "capacitive" box, one became energized enough to see it for themselves. And strong enough to experience, with therapeutic help, the freedom to connect with self and nature, naturally, without distortions of fear or anger. He naturally sought the connections with all of nature, explaining astronomical phenomenon that still baffles NASA $cientists. And he could have prevented the misunderstanding Ttump had over the course of Hurricane Dorian. But, with a hundred pages discussing the mental aspects, he never closed the loop on why his peers and authority would deny his impeccable research... A man who had moved to avoid death at the hands of others in Europe taking what they could, but failing to see the same game, played below the surface in the USA.He was quite prolific, with dozens of books. All burned by the state of NY, but now re-published. He was jailed and killed. He ultimately threatened every institution in his day by inspiring people to think independently and giving them the strength of character to believe in themselves. This book is a good overview of what was behind it all.I picked it for more insights into Ether technologies... it gives some very inspiring accounts of how it behaves in natural form, something Tesla did not explore. Tesla was manipulating it and distilling it from electricity. Reich knew nothing of that. His instruments were much simpler. This is not a "how to" book. Its more about how he explored it once he found it.I find his insights of emotional healing directly correct and applicable for "energy" healers, perhaps enabling more effective healings than just correcting energy flow. It is also a critical aspect of relationship disfunction. It is not an easy read. The writing is quite dense and the words are not used in typical conversation... but the kindle feature of defining words on command is useful from time to time. And 308 pages seemed like a lot... but the insights and thought provoking nature of the brilliant man are inspiring and worth it.It was certainly a dark day when the State of New York put him to death, and burned his work... to protect the financial benefits being earned by scamming the public. Rather than recognizing the scientific proof this ingenious man discovered.Reich points out that the purpose of life is revolution. The quest for knowledge and understanding of our world is not something for society to legislate. Our understanding will constantly be revised and any social order based on what we know must be ready to evolve with that understanding or suffer the bite of reality. Dr. B.

The Great Wilhelm Reich: A student's appreciation
I was a student in the NYU class of 1969 given by John Bell on Wilhelm Reich's research. This book opened my thinking to the concept of cosmicawareness and what is now referred to as the primal paradox. Orgone energy work of Reich is the most importantresearch of the 20th century and is being overlooked. This book is a way into the micro world of quanta and the macroworld of black holes. He is one of the greatest minds of the 20th century and his time will come. His written word has only grown in itsgravitas for the present day. Read his Mass Psychology of Fascism for its analysis of the present plague of disturbed leaders on today'sscene.

A Rare, Invaluable Document
Wilhelm Reich has been categorized in pop culture only through the briefest of references to his eccentric devices, but what lies underneath this thin veil of culturally exaggerated concepts is one of the most undying bodies of work ever put forth into the psychoanalytical community.A man ultimately persecuted for his farsighted methods and uncanny ability to synthesize then current therapeutic techniques and his own insights on human emotionality and sexuality, Reich blazed a trail of new research that set the stage for some of the most articulate examples of the somatic method of psychology to date.In this book, Reich takes liberty in discussing the Jungian archetypes that haunt the collective soul of humanity, and bend it towards its sporadic relationship with what he dubs "God", only in the Einsteinian sense. He muses as to how exactly humanity became so separated from nature, and more importantly, from itself, separating the joys of the complete human organism for the schizophrenic schism of mind centric psychology.I would highly recommend this book to the novice Reichian student, With a healthy cautionary grain of salt towards the second half of the book where reich trades in his social insights for the somewhat more speculative science of orgone physics.Cheers.

Propuestas sugerentes

Reich work is a must
Reich work should be read by anyone into psychology or the behaviour of the human nature. Being underrated at his time, now is the moment to discover it again
