Everything I wanted
Okay not everything. It didn’t have a built in camera but reality sank in that I already had a garage camera so why did I need another camera?I moved in to a new house and the Craftsman opener sensors were not working reliably and I only had one opener. My last Opener at my previous residence was the Ryobi GDO. Loved it because it had all kinds of attachments that were truly useful. Didn’t care for the app because sometimes it worked and sometimes it didn’t.I was convinced I was going to buy a Chamberlain and found one with everything though it was a bit pricey but there were some little things I didn’t like after reading other’s review about the sensor design and other things. So I looked at Genie. The sensors are well designed. Solid actually, better than any I have ever had historically. The app works really well. The opener is super quiet. It took several days of greasing the garage door rollers (not related to the opener) so I could notice how quiet it actually was. The install was super simple and straightforward but most garage door openers are pretty easy to install, I’ve personally installed maybe 8-10 openers in my life. But they make it simpler (which I didn’t notice) by color coding the parts bags to the installation steps. Nice touch if you never installed a opener before as some parts can look similar.I installed LED bulbs and the backup battery option it came with was pretty easy to install. I really wanted a backup battery. It was an important requirement for me as it has come in handy several times in the past. The motor is plenty strong and the belt drive super quiet. It connected to my wifi very easily.I don’t use the remotes or the keypad because of Homelink and the phone app.I do like the big glowing (red) wall mount button as it’s difficult to miss or accidentally hit a different button. Simple is always better.Did I mention how solid the sensors are? With 4 kids and a dog, solid is good.

WOW - quietest opener I've ever heard
I LOVE this opener. I bought model 7155-TKV (on March 16, 2022 and installed it March 30, 2022) it has belt drive, 2 remote control openers, outdoor wireless keypad opener, wall mounted opener, battery back up, safety sensor and WIFI control via the Aladdin Connect app.For some reason the delivery took longer than expected but once received, I unpacked it and started reading the instructions. I'm pretty handy and have plenty of tools so I felt like I could figure this install out....but I still read the instructions to make sure I didn't miss a step. The instructions were pretty clear with only a few question. One issue is when you're tightening the belt, the instructions direct you to make sure the turnbuckle is in the middle of the rail and then to look on the opposite side to see when the belt is 1/4 inch above the bottom of the rail.I did just as instructed but I couldn't get the opposite side up high enough. I tightened the turnbuckle as tight as possible but still it was sagging. Then I noticed that it was flexing the rail!! So I backed it off considerably and it really didn't seem to change the height of the belt on the opposite side. I made sure the rail was straight and the belt was tight so this instruction really needs to be reevaluated and corrected by Genie. My only other complaint is that the kit does NOT include garage door rail clips for the safety beam sensors - they only came with brackets and screws to be attached to wood. Around the bottom of my garage is my stem wall which is concrete and I didn't want to spend time drilling into that. To install in wood, it would put the sensors up around 8-10" off the ground if I mounted them to wood. Apparently they do have rail mounts but I have yet to find them online for sale.Other than that - this garage door is a dream. It's whisper quiet and operates very quickly. It's easy to install, easy to program and I could not be happier. It has a great feature where it starts slow, then accelerates then slows down again as it gets to the end of it's travel. This happen both when raising and lowering the door and I love this feature.I completed 100% of the install by myself but I'm a tall man with some moderate strength so it wasn't really an issue for me. As long as you work slowly and make sure you're being safe, it's no problem. Might have been easier with another person but not by much. Also I purchased the Genie LED lightbulbs for garage door openers and I haven't seen any issues with interference. They claim these lightbulbs are equivalent to "soft white" incandescent bulbs but they're really not. They're quite a bit "whiter" than soft white.Overall this is an outstanding garage door opener and I'm quite pleased.
