Chemistry: An Introduction to General, Organic, and Biological Chemistry (11th Edition)

This was cleanly printed, packaged well with clean hole punches. I’m using this book only at home so I just zip tied together so I didn’t have to use a clunky binder (could totally use binder rings too but I didn’t have them). The material I need and at a price that is accessible!

It was what was required, but I feel that it does not explain some things thoroughly, which I don't care for. It's a little bit confusing, but I'm used to it overall. Note, that if you do the problemsets, some answers are in the back, to compare your answers. I did like that, as my professor just checks that we did all our work, but neglects to tell us if we are understanding the concepts, or getting them all wrong, so it helps to check some i the back of the book.

This book provides a lot of sample problems step by step examples, problems and questions and answers at the end of each chapter to help you understand the material. Whats great about this book to is that if you miss a lecture your able to go into this book and review material that you have missed and easily teach yourself the material. The only issues with this book is that there are a few questions that have unaccurate answers and definitions. Other than that its really explanitory. I will recommend this book to any student who will be taking chemistry! Amazing book.

great deal! I read, highlighted, and wrote on this book more than on any other textbook I ever had. It was in great conditions when I got it (now it looks like a kindergarten book) and I would only recommend you to buy it if your professor is using the same version or the next one because it is the same thing except for the cover and pages numbers.

This book is great to guide someone who has never done chemistry before. I'm getting an A so far in my class even though I failed it in high school. A big part of it is due to this book! The concepts are made easy to grasp while everything is being broken down. Doing the sample problems, concept questions, and the sample problems as I read the chapter is a real help to enforce my understanding of everything. Highly recommend.

could not be better written for a first year chemistry course....for the new high school graduate it literally takes by the hand a arranges small tests along the way so you can review what you have learned so far...never leaves the student wondering "What does that mean??" for a :"home study" where the parent may not be up on chemistry both student[s] and teacher will learn.....Buy it for the first year course.

The old edition, like almost all text books, is all but the same as the new version. I ordered the 10th edition and compared it to my lab partners book and it was all but word for word. And as a bonus the used 10th edition book I received had a un-used Mastering Chemisty code in the back that I could use to activate my web based work. I got the used one for $11 with Mastering Chemistry so I would consider this and save $150

While the book was fine, they sell this product for only $10 cheaper than they do on the pearson site, and this one doesn't come with the access code required for online use. I had to go through a lot of trouble just to get what I paid for.Would not recommend.
