The only complaint that I have is that there are 3 rock-hard "bricks", one located in each of three sections that comprise the pad. These "bricks" can be very uncomfortable and take a bit of work to get them into a "good" position. I'm sure that the "bricks" are the housing for the infrared elements, but it would have been nice if they were made from a less rigid material. The hard "bricks" were the only reason that I rated this product a 4 instead of 5 stars. Overall, I find that the infrared "heat" penetrates deeper and is far more effective than conventional heating pads. Also the actual surface temperature of the skin next to the pad never gets hot enough to burn which can be the case with a regular heating pad left on too high of a setting for too long. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ My wife uses it every day mutiple times *by J***S on Reviewed in the United States on July 7, 2013* My wife couldn't live without it. Conventional heating pads have helped in the past, so I thought this was worth the chance that it provided a deeper heat. It may have, but we will never know. The control for "high" and "low" (there are only two settings on this) functioned for ONE DAY. After that everything was low, and low was quite low.I am in the process of returning the product, so I cannot yet rate the merchant and their response to this, but even if that goes smoothly, one is stuck with the shipping costs, the time spent to ship back, etc. For well over $200 -- when conventional heating pads cost in the area of $30 -- I felt that one should be getting a solid product.The manufacturer gives a 30 day money back guarantee.
