Little Bear - Rainy Day Tales [VHS]

How could you not love Little Bear?! My kids adore him and this show!

This came at a great price! I can stream this from Prime, but like having a hard copy for when our internet is giving us issues or to send to the babysitter. My 21 month old LOVES Little Bear. Nothing captures his attention quite like this program. I love how kind and gentle the story line and characters are. The music is beautiful and enjoyable - not just for him but for the parents. We do limit his television intake. This is a nice option because the episodes are only 7 minutes in length. If he is not feeling well, we can easily let the whole DVD just play out. You really don't get a lot of episodes which is why I've only purchased a couple of the DVDs. It's sometimes more affordable to purchase the streaming version of an entire season. Do remember that to access the additional episodes, you have to continue to click through more to find them. Those do not play in succession. You have to choose them individually. Not a big issue, but annoying if you're driving and the only one who can control the DVD player.

I use this video in the library at school for the kindergarten students. They love Little Bear and so do I. I especially like how he and his friends do not get upset by little things - I think it sends a great message to the kinders. For example one scene they are having a race and No Feet yells "I win!" and the Duck yells, "I didn't" and they all laugh. The point was to have fun in a race not to win! In another scene, they are all going to play follow the leader and Owl says "I am not going and you can't make me." They all say. "ok - see ya". They do not argue or get annoyed because owl doesn't want to play. When he changes his mind, they all welcome him without a problem.

Got this for my 4 year old to watch in the car. I use to watch this when I was little and really enjoyed it. I like how it’s a nice calming show compared to what’s out now days.

Well like the other reviewers we love this DVD at our house. My 2.5 year old daughter asks for it over and over, and her older cousins like to watch it at our house, too. Each tale involves rain in some way but it's a nice variety of characters and story lines and holds my daughter's attention the whole time. We did not like  Little Bear - Little Bear's Band  (see my review of it for details) or  The Little Bear Movie  (a few parts were too scary) as much as Rainy Day Tales. As a mother of two in a small apartment, what the kids watch over and over, I watch over and over, and I'm very happy to have found a DVD that does not get on my nerves, no matter how much it's played. In fact, I even enjoy it.

My 6 month old caught a glimpse of little bear on TV while I was trying to quiet him down for bed, it instantly relaxed him and lulled him to sleep! In a world of bright electronic toys the calmness of the sweet cartoon is refreshing for him and me! Also theres a little nostalgia for myself I remember watching this at home on sick days when I was young. I'll be buying more!

Got this for my son, who started watching Little Bear about a year ago! he still loves everything about the show, the only problem is "amazon prime" only has the first two season for viewing, and we have watched them over and over again, wanted to get something different, yes there are couple episodes from the first two season, but he loves them anyways, we recently took a 8 hour trip during the day, so got a dvd player, and he watched this show for almost the entire trip, yes I turned it off and tried to get him to sleep, but nothing, just wanted "bear" so we put it on! he loves all his little bear "shows"

Works great ! Such a great kids show from my childhood , now my son gets to enjoy !

My daughter loves Little Bear, and she watched it over and over and over! Awesome!DVD was in excellent condition. No problems here!

This took a while to come then when it did arrive it was packaged cheaply and was of poor quality, when it got past the previews it seemed to work better, but I wouldn't but it again.
