I was looking to make the Indian Gujhia (traditional sweet made during the festival of color, Holi) and looking for designer cutters. But what I found is so much better. These 3 dough press come in different sizes. I used the small one this time, but will use the others next time. I made the dough per the recipe, dry but soft and after rolling it into a round shape I put it on the dough press and folded it 25% before putting the filling in and putting a little water on all sides and then pressing it close. Then once is tight, just tear out the extra dough, open the dough press and you have the perfect gujhia ready. I made about 20 of them and then fried it. The filling stayed it even while frying, I’m sure thanks to the dough press keeping it sealed perfectly. This is easy, convenient and a time saver for sure.
