Always great products
I try to get as many of my supplements from this company as I can. They are always good quality, competitively priced, and seem to be adding new products all the time. After ordering another product I was offered the opportunity to receive a product of my choice in exchange for my honest review. I greatly appreciate this as well as I get the opportunity to try something new with the risk of feeling it was money down the drain if it's no good, or just no good for me. Truthfully I never really fear this with this company, I've been using their products for years and will continue to do so. It's difficult to say whether this specific product is doing a whole lot as it was prescribed by my neurologist at a dosage of 400mg daily as part of a migraine reduction regimen. What I can say is most B vits nearly gag me they smell so bad just opening the bottle, and it takes a LOT to kick this in for me. I was a little worried about getting powdered B's fearing it would ruin my AM cocktail but this one is practically odorless and changed nothing about the taste of my drink so I'm pretty happy :)

Awesome
Works for me and mild common headaches sometimes combine with coq10 sometimes not as that's more expensive and slightly stimulating. Very good bulk deal. I wish bag sealed more tightly though be very cautious about that as the stains are similar to turmeric stains, but not sure if they are easier to get out I wouldn't risk it. Not a strong taste maybe slightly bitter.

Did not buy as a supplement, though I did save some for that use.
It can be added to frosting or drinks in small amounts for interesting effect during a black-light party! But my use was VERY different.... I had a leak in my home well water pump system that I needed to trace. ALL commercial water tracing products had ingestion warnings / not fit for human consumption. Fortunately, riboflavin strongly fluoresces under UV light, is consumable even in large doses, and water soluble. That last part is most important, because not only will it easily mix in my water system, any amount ingested that the body cannot use will be easily expelled! I added about 1/2 the package to my water system, waited till nightfall, then easily found the source of my leak & the 2x increased electricity bill that let me know something was wrong... Although the main leak could be seen during daytime (as seen in attached photo), there were 2 smaller leaks that I wasn't able to see till night time & would never have found without the intense UV glow of the riboflavin. ONLY downside, riboflavin is VERY bitter. Also I had to let it go into my water heater because I didn't know if it was hot or cold line that was leaking.... It's already completely flushed out of the cold water lines, but still tints the hot water.

Amazon selling merchandise with short expiration dates!
I have complained before when buying items from Bulk Supplements on Amazon, that the expiration dates on the items indicate that rather than return old merchandise to the manufacturer, Amazon is eliminating old merchandise by sending them out to unsuspecting customers. Management of Bulk Supplements has informed me that it is not their fault, and that Amazon is failing to check the expiration dates before sending out Bulk Supplements merchandise to customers. Check the expiration dates when you receive them. Older Bulk Supplements products not only loose potency, but may cause stomach discomfort and more serious problems!

B vitamins next level.
I am all for eating right and in the right proportions. I am also in agreement that vitamins help in a big way. For today, I am proofing the vitamin B2 also known as Riboflavin, by BulkSupplements. I buy the larger supply first because I am likely to make some batches that may not be palatable. Or my measurements were way off and I have to abandon the treats. I bought the B2 to help with migraine headaches as well. I also make cakes, cookies, tarts and a variety of blender drinks. I fortify the mixes with vitamins as needed. This product is a powder and is easy to measure. The taste is rather neutral and easily mixes with other flavors. The color is very orange like some spices. I highly recommend the products from BulkSupplements. The purity and consistency of the powders are very important to me. Each bag comes with a Lot number for tracking, if you are inclined to do so. On another day I will try to mix this as a topical cream. Good luck and live well.

Seems to Be Working to Help with Migraines
I started taking this to fix migraines after I read in a medical journal about studies that showed it can help long-term to reduce or eliminate migraine. I've been dealing with migraine with severe vomiting for over 20 years. This seems to be working. I have even reduced the pain of migraine by taking extra when one is coming on. This is part of my "mito cocktail" of supplements with daily Ubiquinol and Riboflavin as the cornerstone and L-Carnitine added during a flare or crash. I dump 1/4 teaspoon of this onto 1/4 cup milk and immediately take a spoon and scoop it with some milk into my mouth. The remaining Riboflavin sinks to the bottom so I then stir that into the milk and drink it. This is usually followed by a little more milk stirred into the cup to get all the Riboflavin. This is the best way I have found to take it without encapsulating it. Make sure to rinse containers and spoons and wipe counter as this does stain everything yellow. One comment particularly about this product and bulksupplelements, and that is, they do not disclose their sources on the packaging, so I presume most of their raw materials are coming from China. China and India are the major suppliers of bulk vitamin substrates worldwide. What kind of lab testing is done on the raw materials when they receive them to ensure purity? This is my main concern with the bulk supplement industry. Anyone can order bulk supplements from China or India and repackage them for sale to consumers. Large suppliers MIGHT have in-house HPLC equipment to test the raw materials themselves, but suppliers like bulksupplements most likely do not have the hundreds of thousands of dollars to invest in this equipment (much less the expertise to use it). This is one argument for FDA regulation over the supplement/vitamin industry, which is a pandora's box. Consumers need to be aware of the contamination issues with supplements and the lack of regulation and not trust everything that is labeled. I took the risk when I ordered this bulk supplement, knowing these things.

Riboflavin is an essential cofactor for many metabolic reactions
Riboflavin is important to the metabolism in several ways, including - Conversion of vitamin B6 to P5P - Conversion of the amino acid tryptophan to niacin (vitamin B3) - Folate production - Regulation of homocysteine levels - Metabolism of fats, hormones, and drugs - Energy production and growth Riboflavin is degraded by sunlight, and UV light. This applies to stored riboflavin whether in bulk, in milk, or even in your body. Like sun exposure, greater physical activity, also increases the body's need for riboflavin. A deficiency can easily go unnoticed as riboflavin levels are not routinely tested. Meat and dairy products are the primary sources of dietary riboflavin. Even vegans who eat an otherwise nutritious diet are at often at risk of riboflavin deficiency. (Oats are the best non-animal natural source.) Riboflavin is recommended for preventing migraine headaches in both adults and children. Increasing riboflavin intake reduces the risk of lung cancer in smokers. Riboflavin's coenzyme activity is theorized likely to help prevent may other types of cancer. Riboflavin is a cofactor for the MTHFR enzyme so individuals with a SNP that reduces the efficiency of the enzyme should take care to avoid any deficiency. Riboflavin may help prevent the development of cataracts. Riboflavin has no known toxic level. it has no adverse side effects from high short-term or long-term supplementation. Finally, riboflavin has no known clinically important interactions with medications. In short, Riboflavin is extremely safe. Like all B vitamins, riboflavin is water soluble.

Make them prove to you that their product is the best out there
BulkSuppliments has always been the one GoTo company for my vitamins. One has to remember that the bulky multivitamins are almost pointless when it comes to the body absorbing everything they have to offer. The reason is that those vitamins contain such a concentrated form of the vitamin/suplement that the body cannot and does absorb it. BulkSupplements, in my opinion, has put tried to make each supplement is body absorbable as possible. And I believe that it shows… I have been taking BulkSupplements for over a year now and have noticed a huge improvement in both my mind and body. Of course it takes time for all supplements to work. They are not wonder drugs but nature’s way to make the body healthy. Please keep in mind that BulkSupplements pride themselves on the quality (and control) of their supplements. Do not be afraid to ask for a report of the product analysis for each batch they distribute. Make them prove to you that their product is the best out there. I have over 30 orders of BulkSupplements under my belt. Their product is the best!
