I LOVE this product. I ran out this week, and I’ve been anxiously awaiting for it to arrive. This has helped me lose weight especially when I have heavy carb meals. American food has been stripped of fiber, and I drink this before a meal to help insulin levels and weight loss. It does cause some mild tummy discomfort at so start at one glass a day.

I just had my cholesterol tested and it was a bit high...searching for ways to naturally lower it (besides a change in my diet) I came across info on psyllium husk powder. Yerba Prima brand, besides psyllium, has a few other ingredients that also help with lowering cholesterol. My order came the next afternoon so I immediately put a heaping teaspoon of powder in my shaker bottle with 12 ounces of water. After a few vigorous shakes, I started drinking the mixture. It has a taste...it's not good but it's also not bad...it's just a taste. The powder started sinking to the bottom so I had to shake the bottle several times until I finished. I then added 8 ounces more, swirled the water around and drank that to make sure I got all of the powder. I suffered no ill effects (bloating, gas...) as I headed to bed that evening. In the morning, I went through the same routine with another heaping teaspoon. A couple of hours later I was in the bathroom...and then, about half an hour after that, I was in the bathroom again. Another hour goes by...and a new roll of toilet paper is needed. I had no plans for the day so I decided it best to say home...luckily, I only needed those three trips to the bathroom. It's now 9:00pm and I've just taken my second dose for the day. I'm hoping, now that my bowels are clean enough for a colonoscopy, that tomorrow will be a "regular" day. I'm getting my cholesterol checked again at the end of January...I have no doubt that my numbers will be down! 10/10

This product is a really great way to add fiber to your diet. I suffer from gastrointestinal issues and as long as I have this every morning, the pain that I would normally experience with lack of fiber is gone. As with any fiber product, build your tolerance. Me personally, I find no side effects and it thickens my protein shakes up quite a bit.

Honestly, I tried using Metamucil pills but I felt like nothing was working so I switched up and use the this brand but in the pill form and it’s OK again I didn’t see a difference, but when I bought psyllium husk in powder form, oh my god just one time use, and I already notice a difference in my stools. So that’s good. I will say this I definitely strongly recommend you stay hydrated throughout the day when taking this because it could cause blockage if not hydrated.

I’ve been using various fiber supplements but I’m his product has changed my constitution for the better. I can’t imagine not using this daily

Happy there's no sugar. Just wish the fiber wasn't so fine. Not as effective as the far more expensive alternatives.

This was advertised to bulk up colon but I had pain and cramping and my heart went into A-fib which is likely not caused by this particular product but must be an allergic problem I have. I thought this product was returnable when I ordered but apparently not.

This is probably a good fiber product and I’m sure it gets the job done. However, if taste is important to you, read this! This product is not returnable. Taste and texture is undrinkable (to me) when mixed with water. I haven’t tried juice yet, and it could potentially be ok in a smoothie. It’s really coarse and tastes like hay.
