I was looking for a small project, and love birds. The kit has everything in it and is well-made. I've only started on the leaves, but they do look pretty! I like that the material is not too thin. It is very easy to work with, and the design is so pretty!

I know I can't get it done before Mothers Day (I just got it yesterday!!) but that goodness about Christmas! My mother ADORES Chickadees (to the point where she has a bird feeder JUST FOR THEM!!), and while it IS on the small side only maybe 7 by 12 its still a very cute cross stitch. The colors are just about as described )but as anyone who knows anything about cross stitch knows that the dye lots are different). And most of the time I have trouble with reading the pattern but not on this one! Its bright mostly in red or other noticeable colors.Only one thing I don't like and it's very small and easily fixed: I HATE the thread holder! I mean how are you to put the colors back when you are finished with one? So I just take them out, used an index card and a hole puncher and made my own (I dot that with most threads now).

Kit came with all the materials included and nothing damaged. Still working on it but so far no complaints, all the thread seem to be there.

This is a gorgeous design. The instructions aren't elaborate but are fairly standard for a kit like this. I wish it had used some quarter stitches to make smoother lines when going diagonal, but again, that's fairly standard not to. Some of the colors aren't quite as rich as the accompanying photo, but it's still quite lovely. The kit have plenty of extra thread. I had leftover even though I made several mistakes and had to rip out large areas and couldn't salvage the used thread. Overall I'm very happy with it.

I am anxious to do this project for my mother. My mom loves cardinals. I was going to do a door hanger...well I tried but it was too much. I am very happy to find a smaller cross stitch project to work on.I was very pleased to find the detailed yet easily understandable instructions included with the kit. I never knew that you should sew around the edges to prevent fraying. Nor did I know that you should use two different types of needles when doing this. I'm very excited to get started on my cardinal kit. Now to go get my small hoop and get started.Thank you

Not well described, the design is pretty but you have to draw the picture of or map it on the fabric!!!!!!!!!!!!! which is very hard beacause you have to be prosies...didn't get it on time either!

I still have not started to do this cross stitch due to I'm still working on another one that I've purchased through Amazon. But I have opened it. Everything is in the package. Instructions are regular cross stitch instructions. And I know it's going to be beautiful when I finish, because I've purchased many cross stitch from Amazon and the product has always been top notch. Also I got this particular cross stitch for a GREAT deal compared to a in-store purchase.
