Perfect Cooker!
I'M A CHEF!Well, not really. It's not like I', Rachel Ray; if I were, I wouldn't need or want an air fryer.Recently, my wife and I decided to eat healthier, so we opted for an air fryer. We're "moderately obese" and wanted to stray from fast food every other day. After months of research and review reading, we came across the Gourmia GAF688. We considered smaller, more expensive models. "You get what you pay for," so for the price we paid for our Gourmia, we weren't expecting much.Out of the box, we were impressed--it's a beauty that comes with an array of non-stick, scratch-resistant accessories. It IS a little bigger than some of the pricier fryers we considered, but the extra space came in handy for preparing larger items. The dashboard is easy to understand and operate. It's laced with food icons, so cooking some things is as simple as a button push. Unless you're cooking a complicated dish that requires manually setting the temperature, just push the appropriate button and chill--it's that simple! My wife and I test-drove ours with rotisserie chicken, mac/cheese, corn, and green beans. It was a basic meal for us beginners, but once we readied the food items, our Gourmia did its thing. It took an hour and twelve minutes (the chicken was kinda big) to cook our meal, but, boy, was that chicken tender and juicy! AND... it tasted better than any we've bought from our local superstore. Plus, it was home-cooked. We followed the instructions in the cookbook to the letter, and YUM! We barely use our conventional oven anymore, and we've both lost a combined total of twenty-seven pounds so far, in just a few weeks. Now comes the part when you guys say "DUH!':Though the Gourmia is an "air fryer," it's an oven that cooks via heat and forced air. It has an element at the top, so it does get hot. Since we no longer have any small children in our home, I let down the door and allowed our fryer/oven to air cool. Once completely cooled and unplugged (DUH! again), it cleaned up easily with a mild soap and water solution. I used Dawn and warm water and my Gourmia cleaned up easily in minutes. My wife and I LOVE our air fryer, mainly because our battle of the bulge doesn't seem like such an uphill struggle. We ordered extra cookbooks so we can have more recipe variety. I can honestly say that, with slow, steady lifestyle changes, this little baby can help ANYONE in their journey towards a healthier existence.

Best Purchase Ever!!!!!!!
Wow... The Gourmia Rotisserie airfryer is hands down amazing. I was skeptical to try it out but I’m stuck in quarantine so I decided I got nothing but time. What made me choose the Gourmia over the Instant Pot was the negative reviews. The Instant Pot Vortex has a lot of customers saying it broke after a view uses, the glass shattered, etc... When I looking at the Gourmia Airfryer, it didn’t have too many reviews but the customers reviews were all positive. So I went with the Gourmia Airfryer and I do not regret it at all. I love that it’s compact enough to fit on my apartment counter space and that it comes with a lot of the accessories. My first time using the airfyer, I decided to go all in and make a rotisserie cornish hen (24 oz). I rubbed the spices and also I stuffed it with some onions, garlic, and rosemary. Then I used a small wet toothpick to hold up the wings so it wouldn't drag. It was fairly easy to set up on the rod and prongs. Next, I put the hen and pressed the chicken drumstick and let it cook for 30 minutes. I felt like a little kid at the candy store. I turned on the light (yes it has a light!!) to watch it turn and cook. In 30 minutes, the chicken was done. It was nicely browned and had a bit of the crispy skin 🤤 I waited 10 minutes to cool down and then I took out the chicken with silicone gloves as a precaution.I devoured that little chicken! 😝 In my opinion, it was better than the Costco chicken. It was so good and I’m glad I put in the onions, garlic, and rosemary kept it moist and juicy. I think I won’t go back to Costco for their rotisserie chicken. Best purchase ever! 🙌🏻 I can’t wait to make kabobs and bake with it too! 😁

Despite picture saying "toasts" this does not have a dedicated toast button.
Does not have a dedicated toasting button for quick toast. Like with any oven you can toast but not in 1 step. You'll have to flip to toast on both sides and you will have to play with settings to figure out what works best. As an air fryer this thing works great. Very roomy with up to 3 racks to air fry on. Fast foods get very crispy and reheating is a breeze. Looks nice. Body is plastic so it doesn't get extremely hot while using. Good choice if size is a factor. Fits under upper cabinets and won't stick out further than upper cabinets either.

Air-fry everything!
I waited until I had used the unit multiple times and used most of the settings/features before electing to provide a review.I have used the trays, the rotisserie, the frying basket and the frying tumbler. I even baked a paleo bread in there and used the dehydrator. The features and accessories all do exactly what they are supposed to do.Only ocassionally do I even add any oil at all, most of the time I am cooking meals without any oil at all and they are still crispy and delicious. I use this unit basically every night for my dinner preparation. It is easy to clean, easy to use and cooks perfectly. It has an automatic shut off when the suggested cooking time is up, so you dont need to stand over it watching it constantly. Also, it re-heats very quickly so you don't lose time and heat when you open the oven during cooking. For rotisserie the unit can accommodate up to 7.5 lb. Any larger and it will obstruct the rotating feature.I prefer the trays/shelves over the fry basket, I find it crisps just a little more on the trays. The unit is a little loud, I would just go into the other room and watch tv but if you are intending to do other things in the kitchen while the air fryer is on, it is a little bothersome... but not so much for me to take away a star.

Doesn't live up to expectations
We owned a different model Gourmia before this and it worked perfectly. It cooked great and didn't have any issues. This new Gourmia is horrible. Cannot perfect any food in it. Stuff on top darn near burns while stuff on bottom rack doesn't even cook. Horrible design. Would strongly recommend getting a diff model.
