As many have noted, this is a retro 1960's set of CD's. If you were growing up in that time, you'll remember this on AM radio and later on in elevators as you were being whisked to your office or on "power" business appointments.Found the music brings back those times and the quality of the recordings is quite good. I have ordered the "first" volume of this as well. The track listing between two is somewhat confusing - below is a jpg of track listing and "Reel to Reel" part number. The quality of the material and the remastering is quite good.Some have indicated that the tonal quality leaves something to be desired. I had ripped at 320.mp3 using MSFT media player. Here s the thing - i felt that the quality was fine. When I played on my home theater system using the "default" 5.1 channel setting, the sound output was not great. Output volume was low and quality seem "muddled." I changed the setting to 2 channel stereo and sound quality and output met expectations. Try it and see if it makes a difference in playback if the default settings on your amplifier don't output to your expectation.Quality certainly better than my Dad's Magnavox integrated furniture cherry integrated amplifier, turntable, AM/FM radio and speakers. Much better than the AM/FM speakers and the turntable (which required a US /dime $.10 scotch tape attached to the (and I use this term loosely), "Diamond stylus."Don't let the "Nattering Nabobs of Negativism" deter you from checking this out, if you remember our convicted VP, Spiro.When ripping @ 320.mp3, I noted that some of the CD's took much longer than others to complete, but that did not seem to change the quality of the final output.My Dad is looking down and smiling - I'm finally 1960's mainstream.Rock on. Gotta go..

8 albums which equals a fantastic deal. Only issue is they begin to all sound the same. I can only listen to this one CD at a time. I listen to them when I go to bed at night. It takes me a long time to fall asleep and i usually switch out CDs. I just can't with this set.

Awesome all around, music that sadly is not made anymore. Pure enjoyment, beautiful arrangements, feeling of happiness as i hear this wonderful music (by the way, im only in my 50s but know and appreciate good music thanks to have been raised in a musical family) Sound is great, crisp and clean definitely sounds like the albums were indeed remastered from the original master tapes. The only reason i did not give a 5 star is that this production by Real Gone music is that they neglected to have the original covers of the original LPs printed and included in the CDs... Also in this copilation of 8 cds 's Continental name of the songs are in Spanish... That is very weied, since the original Columbia album of 1962 was written in English. This is suspicions b because of the fact these albums (lps) were issued in Spanish countries and titles were translated, but was this Spanish 's Continental cleaned up from the vinyl and put on a cd??? Not sure... All albums sound extremely clear to be a transfer from a good vinyl LP... So not sure what to make of this spanish titles of the songs in the Continental one...this is one of my all time RC albums, love the "no words sung" albums he did.Anyway, I have to remind myself these Lps are all over 60 years old... But i am very grateful to have these for sure on CD Thanks to Real Gone!!

To my thinking there are four masters of instrumental music worth having in your collection: Arthur Fiedler, Frank Chacksfield, Nelson Riddle, and Ray Conniff. Four albums of Ray’s music will give you a collection of his best, this one for sure, 8 Classic Albums Vol. 2, and his two ‘16 Most Requested’ albums. There will be a small number of duplicate cuts but you’ll have well over 200 superb arrangements of great songs. Enjoy!

My Ray Conniff records were favoites during my military service years. Glad to get them back. Glad these recordings present both the orchestra and the singers records.
