The tightening screw in the handle of the original carafe for my old Krups machine rusted thorugh. I'm sure I can repair it if needed, but I found this item on Amazon for a very reasonable price. It's slightly taller and slightly wider than my original, but the original lid fits it (a little loosely) and the carafe with the lid fits in my machine. I made a cup of coffee with it this morning, and everything worked fine. The glass is thicker than that of my Krups original, and it seems sturdy. It has a very slight greenish cast which makes me suspect it is not necessarily borosilicate glass. It might be just a different formulation. For this application it's probably not important if it isn't "true" borosilicate glass. I'll give it slack on that unless and until it breaks from thermal shock. For now I am very satisfied with this purchase.

This is my third purchase of this item. It is well made and perfect for my espresso machine.

This fits with room to spare under my Krups XP601050, with 3/4" clearance under the portafilter spouts. All I wanted was a wide-mouth measuring/shot glass so I didn't have to dirty two every time, but evidently nobody makes one. I usually pull a 1 oz ristretto double shot, so I didn't need anything near this voluminous, but it actually works quite well for how I now use it. After pulling the shot, I mix in the syrup/sauce in the carafe, stir in some half & half, and then pour into a glass to top off with milk for a nice cold, creamy latte. Or, *gasp* I warm it up in the microwave. Hey, I never claimed to be a real coffee drinker. The markings are approximately 2 oz at the steam-line, 4 oz at the 2-line, and 8 oz at the 4-line. I removed the handle since it just gets in the way (pop off the end cap and one phillip's screw holds it all together). I also printed some P-Touch labels to create my own 1 oz, 1.5 oz, 2 oz, and 3 oz markers. I tried to take some pictures, but none of them turned out. Besides, I'm not sure Amazon or Medelco would appreciate my pimped-out version adorning the website. In any case, it works perfectly for my needs. The pour spout functions as it should - drips are purely optional. The glass carafe is 3 3/8" tall and 3 1/4" ID.

If you want a large espresso carafe, this is one of your only clear options. You def want clear because you need to see the color and crema of your shot. I want large cause I hate all the tiny espresso tools and their tiny handles - too easy to knock around and drop. This is a good quality carafe and works great. Design is good and markings are clear. Note that it is marked for coffee so espresso users may want to scribe their own (that's what I did). Only shortcoming is it only has spout for right-hand pour - really ought to have a double spout! It fits under a Breville Pro head so perfect for me. It works great, and I use it daily. Recommended. Update: dropped and broke my first one. Tried 3 different Amazon versions of smaller espresso cups (wanted better markings) but hate them all (they're all basically the same from different sellers). Cup size is ok and markings are great, but the child-size handle is too annoying. So bought a 2nd one of these as a replacement and happy again.

Oh, that awful moment when you drop your carafe in the sink and it shatters, knowing you will be without coffee for several days. I was very pleased to find this fair-priced (and on sale!) replacement on Amazon (and isn't 2 day shipping on Prime awesome? I only had to supplement my coffee with Starbucks runs twice) which I could order with one-click in my kitchen from my smartphone not two minutes after the life-shattering moment. It arrived very well packaged (big box, lots of shatter-proof poofy packaging material) and when I pulled it out of the box, I found that it was actually *thicker* than my previous carafe that came with my machine. So nice, it's harder to shatter, and it also fits my espresso maker perfectly. I enjoyed a nice quadruple-shot of espresso this morning, and am very happy with this carafe. The price was more than right, my two trips to Starbucks cost more than I paid for this carafe. I would definitely recommend ordering this now, the quality will offset the bummer feeling of having destroyed your Monday morning routine. I have a Braun Espresso Machine (type 3057), which I don't think is manufactured anymore, but it fits the machine perfectly. The lid that came with my machine is a little loose, but still sits in it just fine and doesn't effect usability (I can still pour with the lid on).

Had to buy a new one because my other one broke. Looks like a typical espresso brew cup, easy to clean, I also use it to steam my milk. Handle is durable, not super fragile but still handle with care

This is very good, I have bought it multiple times already. It is kinda fragile so be careful but it is very easy to clean and it looks very good and the material seems to be good and durable as well.

Nada que pedirle a la jarra original 👌🏻

perfect replacement for my espresso machine

Good price, gret coffee maker

Our espresso carafe broke on us after 3 years of regular use (handle snapped off). No longer under warranty I was not up to contacting the manufacturer, even though someone suggested to me that I should try to get a free replacement out of them. For $13 I decided that since it broke while I was using it, I'd keep the economy going by being honest and paying for a replacement, and also keep my conscience clear. Don't get me wrong, if the glass itself shattered I'd be on the phone right away to Sunbeam or whatever they're called now for some form of compensation, at the very least a new carafe. Further to my review headline, I am glad I kept the lid from the original carafe. While the picture distinctly shows no lid, I would hope that the description (as opposed to our reviews) would have managed to point that out clearly. Lucky for us, the old lid fits perfectly on this new carafe. The handle on this one is also beefier than the original one, so even if I sucked it up and called to get a "free replacement" from the manufacturer, it would probably have broken the same way again, the handle had always been flimsy, but no adjustment could have been made on it.
