It fits
This is the third valve I have had to replace. The first two I bought off a specialty on-line coffee supplier. This was cheaper and it works well. I will buy this again if the valve starts leaking like all the previous ones. I think the original design has materials that are not able to handle the steam when the valve isn't either wide open or fully shut. This is the only real complaint I've had about the Gaggia Classic. Buying through Amazon has just made this less of an issue.

This is a used item - not new, arrived with scale deposits - leaks of course
Arrived in an unsealed packing pouch for a Toyota car part (see photos). It is clearly a used part removed from a well-used Gaggia espresso machine with no attempt to clean it up (see photo of scale deposits on the O-ring and orifice). Even the O-ring is used and not new! Unbelievable. It of course leaked immediately upon installation. The reason these steam valves need to be replaced is due to scale build-up and wear of the internal valve A new or at least properly reconditioned valve is required to address the problem, not simply replacing it with another worn and leaky valve from another used machine.Ugh.

High quality replacement part
This is a new, genuine Gaggia replacement steam valve. Installs very easily. Solved my leaking steam valve issue. Came with the o-ring. The plastic knob was slightly difficult to install on this one but I got it on eventually.A tip: You don't have to, and you shouldn't "tighten" the valve down after you close it. I didn't realize this with my first steam valve, and that behavior eventually caused it to leak. When the steam valve is in the closed position, it's off. No amount of tightening past that point will turn it off more.

Item arrive with a demage due to poor packaging, but works.
Item arrive with a demage due to poor packaging. Due to the demage, It took me more than an hour to be able to screw the steam wand to it with an help of a very thin file, but after I was successfuly assemble everything it now works well with no leakages.I didn't want to return the item, as it takes long time to get the order, and I didn't want to wait longer with a broken espresso machine. My recommendation to the seller: please use a more strudy package, not just a nylon bag - I would prefer to spen 1 more dollar for it...

Gaggia classic pro steam valve replacement
The valve is perfect but It didn't come with an O ring. I just picked up a pack at Lowes for a few dollars. The valve was fairly simple to install and fixed the leak issue.

Perfect replacement
Fit perfectly, included gasket. The old valve took a bit of effort to pry off. When tightening the screws for the new valve, had to apply pressure to align it correctly with the knob.

Item generally as described, specifically says O-ring included, is not...
Liked that it is OEM part, but the description specifically says that the O-ring is included. But, as other reviews have pointed out, the O-ring did not come with the part. I understand that to some this may not "seem" like a huge deal, but the part is no bargain and when it specifically says that it is included (AND is shown in the picture), but now I either have to order it separately or waste my time and gas to get in my car and source one, to say I'm not pleased would be an understatement. Yes, I saw the reviews that said it was missing, but you think to yourself, "...it's only two parts on a picklist, how often can they screw it up?". Apparently more often than you'd like.
