Leviton 16693 15-Amp, 120-Volt, Grounded, Compact Automatic Reset Right Angle GFCI, RoHS Compliant, Black

The GFCI plug on my electric pressure washer broke. I looked around in stores and online, and there were not too many options. This one was priced pretty much in the middle. I chose this one because I know the Leviton brand. Years ago I worked in electrical sales, and Leviton was one of the many brands that I sold. Leviton had a reputation for high quality, so I felt that it was worth the extra few bucks. It was easy to attach the electrical cord to this new plug. The cord was already set up for a GFCI plug, so I only needed to screw it in. I am sure it will be a little more difficult if you are attaching it to a cord that is not prepared from another plug. It seems to be working just fine.

I purchased this plug to replace the one one my intex pool. The one on the pool would require a reset daily, and after 6 months quit working all together. This plug installed fast and easy, and the gasket was just the right size. This plug functions flawlessly, and has not needed resetting one time.Would i recommend this product. YESPros: Close to the same size as original.Easy installation.Works better than original plug end.Had the right size gasket included.Cons: None so far.

Works very well. I use it with a bucket heater to assist in boiling 15+ gallons of water/wort for brewing beer. Do note that whatever you want to attach to this isn't just plug and play. You need to cut the end of the cord off of whatever device you have strip the cables and attach them in the Leviton. It was pretty easy to do, if you can replace and outlet you can do this. A very solid product.

Nothing in life is perfect, especially with electronic goodies. I got this item, which was simple to install,and for the first week it worked fine. However, for no good reason that I could see, the GFCI started tripping constantly. I tested it on several different circuits in the house and it kept tripping. Finally, it jus stopped working altogether. I returned the item to Amazon and requested an identical replacement. Leviton is well respected name in the electric components business and I figured a replacement would be fine. I was correct. The replacement item was shipped out quickly by Amazon, no questions asked. It has worked perfectly for months without one hiccup.

I bought this to replace a defective GFCI plug from a blower motor for an inflatable backyard water slide that had lasted about 3 uses. Swapping the defective unit for this one it is obvious that it is a much better built unit in terms of terminals, cord strain relief and weather seal. It works as expected every time. It trips when tested and no nuisance trips to this point. I feel much better about a quality Leviton product versus the no name factory unit.

This product is the perfect replacement for a broken GFCI male plug. I purchased this product because the GFCI plug on my electric pressure washer started to fail. The installation of the product was very simple, and the instructions were perfectly clear. I pulled it out of the box, and saw how many pieces were there. After I read the instructions, I discovered that the product will perfectly conform to almost any size and gauge cable. There are 3 foam gaskets with varying size holes on the inside to slip over the wire to create a water resistant seal. The total install time was about 5 minutes, and I could not be more satisfied with the product. I originally looked at the OEM replacement, and it was around $50. I then looked at this product for around $15, and chose this instead. Make sure you verify that the amperage and voltage is the same as the one you are replacing. There are 15-amp, 20-amp, and several others, so just be sure to order the correct one.I would highly recommend to anybody who is considering this product.

I installed this component on an expensive small outdoor refrigerator. I chose this one because it seems to be very sturdy and well made, mainly at the AC plug. The original was made of cheep plastic and it deteriorated and fell apart. The plastic housing on this unit seems to be very good and I'm confident that the inside electrical parts are well made also.

Make sure you get the unit you really want. This one comes with a 20 Amp plug, its not just rated at 20 Amps. A 20 Amp plug has one of the power connections rotated 90 degrees so it will not fit into a standard wall socket (unless its a dual 15/20 Amp socket). You can see this in the image if you look clearly at the magnified image of the nearly hidden pin on the picture.I made an adapter and it works fine.
