IT WORKS GREAT EVEN WITH PUBLIC LIGHT!!! Not a waste of money
I live In Virginia and I bought these bulbs because I work normally at nights driving on deliveries, so my visibility has to be totally clear. I have a Saturn Ion 3 2006 sports model, which uses a 9007 Bulbs but before decide to buy these bulbs I spend over 2 hours on internet checking for the best bulbs, because I decided if I was going to invest some money I always want to invest in the best, so on that way they will worth for long time, but not always the most expensive prices are always the best, so for decide myself to buy these bulbs I was checking over many sites on internet with customer reviews and comments about other similar bulbs on model 9007 but there is other bulbs similar to these Sylvania SilverStar Ultra, and those are the PIAA Xtreme white plus 9007. I checked over the internet and those PIAA bulbs are a lot more expensive than these Sylvania 9007 bulbs, plus there is no difference between PIAA and SYLVANIA, so don't waste your money on PIAA if you will have the same quality and the same performance at lower cost with SYLVANIA. I bought these SYLVANIA bulbs and I got WOOOW!!!! these bulbs are GREAT.My experience: Is winter here in Virginia and pretty much 3 or 4 days ago just snow in here so as you may imagine, normally on the streets you may find some holes and snow all over the streets, plus, because of my job, which is night deliveries, I need light by night specially. I normally drive on roads with public light, I didn't have the opportunity to drive on a non lighted road yet, but let me tell you these. When I changed the bulbs on my Saturn, First I changed the passenger side bulb and I left the driver side bulb on. (I changed them at night) and after change that, I turn on the lights to see the difference and I got.. WOOOW!!!! there is some difference over there, so it was noticeable the difference between bulbs, so then I changed the other one. Now even on roads with public light, I can see now. The roads are clear, light of the bulbs are good, excellent and it doesn't cost you a fortune. If you buy these bulbs, just test them changing one of the bulbs and leaving the old one on, then turn on the lights and you will see the difference. Try to do this at night so then you can notice the difference. As I said before, even on roads with public light you can notice the difference. Before buying these bulbs, my old bulbs seem to be as I was riding with a couple of candles instead of bulbs, now is like changed the candles and put some real halogens on my car. Lol. The roads are very bright now, and as I said even with roads with public light you can see the difference, otherwise for you to test the visibility, go into somewhere with your old bulbs and try to see how far and how wide you can see, then come back to the same spot with your new bulbs and you will see there is a very nice difference on it. I do recommend these bulbs and by the way I don't use glasses and I am a guy in their 34 years old, so I am not an old guy that maybe people might think I have some sight problems. Lol. I recommend these bulbs because they don't cost you a fortune and they are good. they work for what you pay.

Good lighting
In the search for good night lighting, without blinding oncoming drivers, these do pretty well. They are not "annoying" to fellow roadmates, yet allow good night vision. The bright light setting is good as well. Sylvania makes a good product and they last a while. Good investment.

Great improvement in visibilty
I found these bulbs to be a great step up from the original bulbs that were installed in my vehicle. The light is clean & crisp and projects much farther than before. Considering the increased visibility I now have, these were a decent value and worth the purchase.

Works well in my 2018 Nissan Frontier
Thought about going LED but I see too many complaints about flicker and other issues, decided to go with good old fashioned Halogen bulbs. These are much brighter than the oem bulbs they replaced, very happy with them! Now if someone could could just invent more space under the hood of my little truck to fit my hands to do this kind of stuff that would be amazing.

Great Replacement Bulbs for Older Vehicles Without HID Lights With One Caveat - Shorter Bulb Life
This is my second set of the SilverStar Ultra's - first was purchased from Advanced Auto. The bulbs fit our beater vehicle, a '96 Dodge Caravan, quite nicely and definitely provide an improvement over the OEM bulbs. The distance and brightness claims are a bit of marketing talks in my opinion, as the improvement is more subtle in terms of range and breadth. Yes, these bulbs do reach a little further and wider, and they are a little bit brighter, but it's not as dramatic as the packaging and Sylvania's website would have you to believe. This is after the headlight lenses were fully restored to near new clarity. The biggest improvement in my opinion is the color temperature of the light output. It's noticeably whiter than the OEM and definitely improves visibility especially on clear nights. However, this improvement in color temp comes at a cost of bulb life. The bulbs have a noticeably short rated life compared to OEM and even the next tier SilverStars. My first set lasted about 4 years, but that's because I rarely drove at night with this car over that span. Another friend who also uses SilverStar Ultra's says his set lasts about 6 months to a year. He also drives a lot more at night. To satisfy my own curiosity, and hopefully help out fellow Amazon shoppers in the process, I've started tracking the runtime in hours in a spreadsheet (yeah I know, it's the engineer side of me). I will periodically updated this review until at least one bulb fails. Hopefully this will provide some interesting info and data for everyone! The bulbs were installed on 12/12/2014 and so far, I've accumulated 6.5 hours.
