Hard to find this hat because Stetson keeps selling out out of them! Size 'Large' fits me perfectly at a nominal 7-3/8" measured fit. Very high quality!

It’s not the best or the worst but it’s a decent panama hat in this price range. Dimensionally this hat is nearly perfect. It has the best combination of brim size, peak height pinch shape. Etc. it just looks good. It has the correct Ecuador stamp inside the crown. It’s worth noting that all true Panama hats are made in Ecuador. Apparently these hats are made in Ecuador, but finished in Mexico. That’s OK too. The weave and stitching is decent, but not the highest quality. All in all, it’s a nice quality panama hat that looks sharp.

This hat is of nice quality (Grade 8), and it fits perfectly according to the size I ordered and expected. My only comment is to be mindful of its shaping: It could be a bit too large in the overall rise and the length for some body types, though this is certainly dependent on taste. The rise is a reasonable 11.5 cms, however, it is not tapered in the front or rear, so it appears to be taller on your head than other designs, similar to a western-style hat. Please also note that the brim is a generous 33.5 cms (front to back) and 30.5 cms (side to side). The added sun cover may be a plus, but be mindful of how large a fashion topper you want when considering this design. I wear it both casually, and with business attire. All told, I continue to get compliments on it, and I'm very happy with my purchase.

This is a nice hat. It looks nice, it fits pretty well (my size is 7 3/8 or 59 cm) and it is only a tad larger than that, which was remedied by placing a piece of felt (you could use paper towel) under the internal headband. Although made in Mexico, the weave, at least on mine, was acceptable. There is no doubt you can spend MUCH more and get much higher quality, but those hats also let less evaporation occur, too. The only reason for having removed one star is that the packaging came squashed and the hat slightly dented. It dented out pretty well, but c'mon guys--put some sort of sleeve around the crown of the hat to ensure this doesn't happen, or use stronger boxes with "Fragile" on them. Wearing this hat is probably best with a light colored button up shirt. I wear mine this way, and it even looks fairly good with shorts.

The hat I received with the Stetson logo stenciled in the hat had only a shadow of the quality that the Stetson hats once sported. This was a replacement for a beautiful Stetson that was made in the USA, but Retro doesn't mean you get the same quality as the old one. This hat feels more like a flea market or Wal-Mart hat that would only cost a few bucks. I won't buy another Stetson.

The hat is great but the packaging caused it to get crushed. It was returned.

At first glance, the hat looks good, but the crown has a small dent and the brim is slightly misshapen. These flaws might be minor for a cheaper item, but not for a product that's supposed to be high-quality.
