Thrift T-100 Alkaline Based 1-Pound Granular Drain Cleaner,Red

We were dealing with gnats due to a clogged tub and a kitchen drain that likely had food and grease stuck to it. So, I tried a lot of different things: baking soda, vinegar and hot water - didn't work. I tried Terro - didn't work. I came across this product, read the reviews and did some other research and discovered that the things I was doing were not working because the drain/pipes needed to be cleaned. I used this in all of our drains, twice over a 2 day period followed by boiling hot water and it has been 2 days of no gnats!! This works and I just ordered more for future uses. I’ve already told people about this!

Our tub had constantly been backing up when we took a shower since we moved into our house. It would drain so slow, forget getting a shower right after another person, unless you wanted to stand in their dirty water. I tried DrainO, nope, didn’t work. So I looked for something stronger & stumbled upon Thrift! It arrived, I ran hot water down my drain, threw in some crystals, let them dissolve then added more hot water. Now at first, it was still draining fairly slow, but faster than it was originally. So I decided after reading another review to try to plunge the tub while the Thrift was in the drain & it worked! Our tub has been draining normally since. I’ve also used it in our bathroom sink & didn’t need to plunge it.

Wow... this stuff blew my mind. We've had a bathroom sink that's given us trouble since we got this place 10 years ago. Recently it just wouldn't drain at all so after some research I picked up some Thrift and a highly rated sink mini plunger for one last hope before calling the pros.Boy am I glad I did! After getting the water out of the sink I poured roughly half of the Thrift into the drain then followed with some warm water I heated on the stove. At first it just backed up like it had before but I noticed some small air bubbles coming up so I waited 5ish minutes. I drained a little more water from the sink then hit the drain with the plunger a few times. Suddenly muck started coming up but the water level was starting to go down. I then poured the last half of the Thrift down the drain with hot water.... 10 seconds later it burped and the water drained. We've never had this drain work this well!Forget the box store drain cleaners, grab some Thrift and let the water flow!!

This is a great product! By far the best product I have ever use to drain the apt bathroom sink. I have no idea why this sink is always backing up. All I do is wash my hand, teeth and face. But, out of the blue in days, I come to the sink and its full of some black sandy water. It's disgusting! You have to let it do it works. I wait to see if the water comes down on its own firt. Put it in the sink drain, left it for 15 to 30 min, and used hot boiling water that I heat up on the stove. If the water doesn't go down on its own, I just put in the sink and had to do this 2 times but I'm thinking it was because this old apt had never had anything maintenence. It's a little pricey but as long as it works I'm happy. I have other issues that I need to fix myself, too. Overall, I do recommend this product. It's awesome!

Wear a mask, gloves and long sleeve shirt. This stuff gives off toxic fumes and can seriously burn you!!!! I’ve had very good results on tough drain clogs. Probably because of all the reasons above. I have found that sometimes it takes 24 hrs for the clog to actually clear so give it some time. AGAIN be extremely careful⚠️

I tried everything to unclog my drain nothing worked. I was about to call a plumber to come out until someone recommended this to me. This product is amazing, easy to use and actually unclogs my drains. I won’t use anything else and it sells for a great price. I’ve bought this product multiple times and will continue to do so.

This product was highly effective and did not cause any damage to the pipes. It cleared a tough clog in my tub without any issues and is safe for regular use. I would absolutely purchase it again if needed.

My favorite bathroom sink unclogger, works very fast. I've also tried Liquid-Plumr, Drano, and some lye that Ace Hardware keeps in the back.Be careful when you pour it into the sink or into a cup because some lye "dust" might permeate the air a bit.
