I've tried a few cases before settling on the Otterbox Commuter Series and nothing comes close in terms of protection, value for money or aesthetics.The Defender IS best for maximum protection if this is what you require BUT the silicone outer makes it a dust magnet and the defender is only superior if used in conjunction with the holster, meaning it has to be placed face in. Compared to the Commuter, which is largely a plastic shell outer (with silicone around edges) the Defender is an inferior case for everyday use simply because it adds too much bulk and the silicone outer is too much of a magnet for debris.Pro's:- Good level of protection- Cheap for the quality of product you're getting (£20 to protect a £400-600 phone)- It makes a very thin phone more substantial without being bulky(this may be a negative for some but I have man-hands) which means it's nicer to use- Aesthetically pleasing- Longevity of the product itself AND the phoneCon's:- The defender has a plastic shield between the camera and flash and the case preventing dust ingress. I'd have liked this to have been on the Commuter series.- The dust covers for the ports sometimes pop out too easily

This is a great product, and it provides excellent protection for my Blackberry. However, because the Blackberry's battery life isn't very impressive I run two batteries, and I found it to be such a pain to remove and re-apply the Otterbox every two days or so that in the end I stopped using it and bought a different product. The new case doesn't provide as much protection, but it only takes a minute to get it off and put it back on again.If the Otterbox was easier to remove/re-apply I'd happily have given it 5/5. If you don't plan to swap batteries often, and protection is your priority, then this is the one to buy.

Amazing case from the number 1 hand phone cover maker. This baby can withstand heavy abuses to it and still manages to protect your phone. Once I accidentally slip my phone out of my hand while running and it slammed pretty hard on the concrete, turns out the case took all the shock and left my phone in good shape and in perfect condition. A must buy if you'd want your bold 9900 to look spanking brand new after heavy usage.
