Whiteside Router Bits BB501 5 Piece Bearing

Replaced a Freud trim bearing that popped off with no issue.

Fits. Kind of pricey.

These bearings are allowing me to convert some of my router bits between beading bits and roundover bits, which saves a lot of money on having to buy more bits. I was also able to put a smaller bearing on my 3/4" cove bit so that I could make a deeper handle on some cutting boards I'm making.

Additional bearing-diameter enable me to reduce the depth on the profile to what I needed.

Have to be careful when buying white side router bit bearings. Have had some just fall apart. White side will not replace it unless you send it back first. They will then assess whether you get a new one. Was not worth it for one bearing in the set. I recommend Freud router bit bearings instead. Whiteside’s bearings are just not made that well. Never had a problem with Freud router bit bearings like I have had with Whiteside. I do a lot of hardwood milling (trim, moldings, furniture, cabinets, etc.) and have used many brands from cheap to the most expensive to determine which product is the best in my shop. I look for lasting performance. The Whiteside bearings are mediocre to poor, at best.

I was looking for a set of bearing to do offset routing. Whiteside makes great router bits so I thought I would try this seteven though I had no clue what the sizes were compared to the lettering stated. I know I'm lazy and should have done some further research, but! the good news is that it was exactly what I was looking for.I have had no problems at all, the bearings seem well made and spin freely on the bit with no binding. Just one word of caution,If using this set or any other set for that matter, make sure and use some blue Loctite on the screw. You don't want that screw backing out on you.

This package allows interchangeable depth of cut to a number of router bits to deepen or lessen depth of fillets, for example. Gives greater variety of molding profiles from a single bit.

These bearings are really awesome! I used them to replace the garbage bearings on my Ryobi roundover bits and they fit great and also have no issues with binding.
