I used to buy new cleaning products often in the hopes of finding the product with the best scent and best cleaning power, so I feel like I’ve practically tried them all. I started using this quite a while ago and have now since decided to stick with it for its cleaning powers and good lemon scent. Here’s a tip: it’s heavily concentrated and you’d be shocked at how many bottles you can get out of one giant bottle like this. I believe the packaging says you can get around 60 bottles but I get easily double that. I end up pouring about 1/4 cup into an empty spray bottle then fill the rest with water and voila. A bottle like this will last forever and it’s a fraction of the cost of the alternatives.The last piece of advice on this is based on my own personal experience, so don’t heed the advice unless you’re willing to do a test load first to ensure it works for you. That said, I stopped using liquid fabric softener around a year ago, which killed me because I love soft fabrics and the smell liquid fabric softener leaves on my clothes. What I hated, however, is that I often found random spots on my clothes, towels, or linens, despite the fact that I have a very new washing machine and tend to use top of the line products. When I read into what could cause that to happen, I found that fabric softener could have been the culprit. As a test, I eliminated it. In its place I used a couple of tablespoons of pine sol in its place and since then, I’ve not found a single spot on any of my clothes, my washer is much cleaner than it used to be, and it my clothes are softer than ever, so I’m now a believer for using it for that purpose as well. As I stated, this is heavily concentrated. When I say two tablespoons, I am referring to filling a 16 oz empty bottle with 1/4 cup of this combined with water. Once it’s diluted, I then use 2 tablespoons of the diluted formula and put it directly into my liquid fabric softener spot. The best part of using this stuff is the fresh and clean smell of lemons that it leaves behind, whether that’s when I clean my countertops, use it as fabric softener on my clothes, or scrub my shower down.After years of trying every product, I think I’ve finally found the one that provides the best value, the best cleaning ability, and the best smell!
