Brain-Pad Lo Pro+ Plus Mouthguard, Black

I decided to purchase this mouth guard upon reading it actually helped someone with his sleep. When it arrived, it was really big, I was very surprised and thought I made a mistake when I realized that I couldn't fit the whole thing in my mouth. I began to read the instruction. I trimmed it a bit according to the instructions and then boiled the water, putting the guard into it and mold the guard. It worked great! Now, I am able to sleep with it as I also have an overbite and it pulled my lower jaw out a bit, allowing me to breathe more easily while sleeping, curing my sleep apnea! I hope this helps when my make your purchase decision.

The title pretty much says it all. The fit and feel, once you fit it to yourself, is excellent. The breathing holes as I like to call them, let you breath easy in rough times. Jaw support is great. It actually brings the lower jaw forward so that when you get hit, your lower jaw won't smake your upper, and that little nerve that puts you down for the count. Very durable and should last you a good while.At just around $14, it's an excellent price for something that makes so much difference in your game weather it be full contact or not. Excellent protection so you don't mess up your grill any more than it already is.Service from Piranha Gear was also great. I orderd this product, along with their Pro Fight Gloves, item number B001M0EFTO if you're interested, on Christmas day, and I think the lot got here (Belgium) 5 or 6 days later, which is awesome. There was even a hand written note in the box along with the merchandise, which was a great touch.If you're in the market for a new guard, or any new gear, I would definatly recommend Piranha Gear.

I have two teenagers who wear braces and play contact sports - wrestling and martial arts. Finding this mouthguard was like finding a treasure. This product not only protects the teeth and jaw, the construction of upper AND lower guards protect the soft tissue of the gums and inner lips from being cut by the braces. This lower lip protection was exactly what I've been looking for because, as anyone involved in sports knows, the mouth, lips and gums can bleed quite a bit - and braces increase that chance during contact sports. The air vent is another great feature that allows them to breath easily during exertion. The boys say they are very comfortable to wear. I will be ordering extra LoPro Plus mouthguards.

Trash. The side supports are very soft and easily squashed when fitting, and if you accidentally bite down on them, there is no good way to get them firmed up for support again. Had to throw it away. If I tried again, I would make sure to flex the molar sides out before putting it in my mouth and only then push them in.

Fitting takes multiple tries, its hard to get the top part of the mold to fit to the teeth, despite all the warnings about overheating the product, its very difficult to mold the front part without dipping it into the water for an extended period of time. I suppose every product takes some getting used to, but i mostly use it for BJJ and i kept on drooling and had trouble breathing only through the front of the mouthpiece, and I would shoot spittle through the front when i was breathing hard.Overall the product is of great quality, its just that realistically its hard to have a double mouthguard that makes it easy to breathe out the front.

I thought this might be a cheap way to get a snoring reducing mouthguard. It wasn't. After fitting with hot water and getting a nice dental impression, the fit was very comfortable. But there is not enough retention to keep my lower teeth from 'dropping out' while sleeping. Thus, I still open my mouth, and my lower jaw slacks back while sleeping, snoring continues.I thought I might save a buck compared to other solutions, but that didn't work for me. However!!! This product is not advertised to work the way. It is a sporting mouthguard. It actually does a great job as a mouthguard and at kickboxing, I have worn it in its actual role. It's comfortable and I can breathe very easy in it.

My son likes the idea of thus mouth guards. He can breathe better than others he has tried. They don't hold up long so need 2 or 3 for the season. Also the strap to hold it to helmet came broke in 2 out 3 we ordered. Also the one that wasn't broke , broke with in a couple months. Not easy getting a good fit . We had to cut and boil a few times before it was comfortable. Not easy to mold.

Just make sure to use a deep pot full of water as the mouthpiece will try and float while molding.
