Scorpion Scooper Dog Pooper Walker, Silver Black, 11-Inch

This Scorpion Scooper "Mini", as it is designated, is a very pale shadow of my original Scorpion Scooper, which I broke due to my own clumsiness and had to replace. It requires a unique collection bag which is available nowhere else. The bag is punched with four holes which have to engage four studs molded into the pickup claws, and removal of a poop-filled bag from the unit practically guarantees dirty hands. The original model could use even used plastic grocery bags ( Read Free ), and discarding the full bag required a simple twist of the wrist and zero contact with the bag itself. The pickup jaws of the original were both articulated and well suited to pickup in grass. Only one jaw of "mini" is movable, and pickup in grass is very messy, crushing the poop and requiring multiple stabs at pickup. The supplier has a short video on how to assemble the bag, but any way you do it, it's a chore. This thing just does not do the job. Everything fits, and it seems to be made of suitable and quality materials. But if this thing is supposed to be an improvement over the original Scorpion Scooper, it badly misses the mark.

Works well, Made cleaning the dog area a breeze. With the bag covering the scoop parts no mess left on them. The only thing I see could use an upgrade is the bags, the bags I received only has 2 holes, I have to make 2 holes for the other side. No big deal though. If you are tall you will want to get the Large for less bending.Thank You Scorpion Scooper for letting me know that the 2 holes instead of 4 holes is not a normal thing less than 1%. I have used 5 bags all had 2 holes, I just poked 2 more holes. I checked another roll and it had 4 holes in the bags. They have offered to send new bags. Thank you again for acknowledgement. This Scorpion Scooper sure is a fantastic concept! I love the way one can efficiently (and neatly) scoop up doggy's poo and deposit it in the bag with a flick of the wrist. The bag is not wasted with just one deposit; more can be scooped up! However, as characteristic of many foreign-manufactured products, the instructions are lean to the point of barely existent. I still cannot get the little flashlight, that can be attached to the scooper, to work. Great idea, but cheap flashlight. The one complaint that I have is that I could not get the bag to stay on when I looped it around the little knobs on the side; however, I fixed that with a little rubber band affixed around both knobs. Now it stays on really well. I would love to know how other people keep the bags on the scooper. I'm giving this product 4 stars because I love it that there IS a way to attach the bag to the scooper, eliminating a step in the clean-up process.

I watched the videos made by these people who say that you can pick up different types of poop on different grounds. Let me start by saying that I have a small Yorkie so the poops are pretty small, healthy and easy to pick up with traditional scoopers and bags. They do not fall apart and are not runny. We installed the bag perfectly as directed on the box and if you don't put the wand in the air up after you squeeze the trigger AND hold it until the poop falls backward into the bag it will NOT work! I tried and tried and mostly it pushed the poop barely past the first area and then would flick small pieces of poop forward out when you release the trigger, no matter which piece of poop in the yard I was trying to pick up. I was using this product in my SHORT grassy yard so really there shouldn't have been any issue at all. The size of the wand was also too short and I think they make a longer one for purchase somewhere. I am 5' 5" and had to lean over a little to make it work so I have no idea why they would make this product for adults. In addition the bags that come with it have holes in them to install on to the scooper and they would easily come off. Both my partner and I tried this product and we both had NO success at all with picking up poops and the bags do come off during the process. I think the product is a great "idea", but it is not worthy of purchase. I did return it right away and was given a refund by Amazon.

I don't understand the negative reviews at all. It's clearly user malfunction. We bought this a year ago to keep in our camper and it has performed beautifully. I use it for 3 dachshunds, an English setter, and have even picked up bulldog and antelope poop with it! Poop never gets anywhere i have to touch. Just position it over a piece or the pile depending on size, squeeze, tip towards the bag so the poo falls down in, and you're golden. Bulldog and setter poop fill a bag pretty quick. I can easily get 4-5 dachshund piles in a bag. Putting on bags is common sense. That said, my husband who has a tbi, struggles with it. Our 7 yr old daughter does fabulous and even enjoys it. I tend to think Jared doesn't want to be able to do it. LOL i didn't give it 5 stars because i am concerned about buying more rolls and the holes but will update accordingly after refill bags are purchased.
