How would you record sound and a video at the same time

Hello,You can plug the microphone into some video cameras, as long as they have a stereo external microphone input. This will record the binaural audio directly onto the video.I hope that helps!- Jeff

Hot shoe adapter? Is the microphone supposed to come with another part for the base? I only received the microphone and a small cable/plug.

can i use this while gaming?

Not to help you hear; however, if you are recording for twitch, youtube, or a similar app you can use this to have a more immersive stereo sound recording of the aforementioned gaming if placed in the center of your soundbar.
